Smart Thermo-Hygrometer
At a Glance
The device consists of a Thermo-Hygrometer and a Wi-Fi Gateway.
Thermo-Hygrometer Components:
- 1. Indicator Light: Shows device status.
- 2. Function Button: Used for device operations.
Wi-Fi Gateway Components:
- 3. Power Prongs: Connects to a power outlet.
Device Components (Thermo-Hygrometer)
The Thermo-Hygrometer has the following parts:
- 1. Sensor Opening: Where the sensor collects environmental data.
- 2. Lanyard Loop Hole: For attaching a lanyard.
- 3. Battery Compartment Cover: Houses the battery.
- 4. Indentation: A design feature or grip point.

Installing Your Device (Thermo-Hygrometer)
- Pull out the battery insulator tab from the Thermo-Hygrometer.
- The attached sticker can be used to label or distinguish the equipment (optional).
- Install the lanyard (optional).
Device Installation Steps
- Open the back cover.
- Put the lanyard through the lanyard hole.
- Close the back cover.
Pairing with Govee Home App
1. Downloading the Govee Home App
Download the Govee Home app from the App Store (for iOS devices) or Google Play (for Android devices).
2. Add the Sensor (model “H5100”)
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and place the thermo-hygrometer and your phone close to each other. Ensure Location Services/GPS is turned on for Android users.
- Open Govee Home, tap the '+' icon at the top right corner, and select "H5100".
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing.
- Repeat the steps above to add other thermo-hygrometers.
- If pairing fails, check the above steps and try again.
3. Add the Wi-Fi Gateway (model “H5151”)
Note: Ensure your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network is functioning properly before pairing the Wi-Fi Gateway to the network.
- Turn on Bluetooth on your phone and place the Wi-Fi Gateway and your phone close to each other. Ensure Location Services/GPS is turned on for Android users.
- Open Govee Home, tap the '+' icon at the top right corner, and select "H5151".
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete pairing.
- The Wi-Fi Gateway icon will appear in the top left corner on the "My Device" page when pairing is completed.
- If pairing fails, check the above steps and try again.
4. Pairing Sensors with Wi-Fi Gateway
- Tap the 'Devices' icon (represented by a grid or list symbol) on the upper left corner.
- Tap on your gateway.
- Tap the '+' icon to add a sensor and the '✓' icon to save.
- Pairing is successful when the Bluetooth [Bluetooth symbol] and Wi-Fi [Wi-Fi symbol] icons appear.
The device display will show current Temperature and Relative Humidity readings.

Troubleshooting
- Wi-Fi Gateway Connection Issues:
- The Wi-Fi gateway could not be connected to the Wi-Fi network or the connection is unstable.
- Product supports only 2.4 GHz (not 5 GHz) Wi-Fi networks.
- Check the network name and password; avoid special characters.
- Ensure the device is within router signal coverage, keeping the distance between the gateway and router within 100 meters (328ft).
- Reduce barriers like metal doors or multiple or thick walls.
- Thermo-Hygrometer Not Working:
- Pull out the plastic insulator tab before using.
- Check that the batteries contain charge.
- Check if the sensor is installed correctly.
- Delayed or Missing Alerts:
- Turn on the relevant permissions for the Govee Home App.
- Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and Wi-Fi gateway.
- Faulty Readings or Missing Data:
- Shorten the distance and reduce barriers between the thermo-hygrometer and Wi-Fi gateway.
- Unpair all H5100 thermo-hygrometers from the device list in the app and then pair again.
- Replace the battery.
Warning
- The thermo-hygrometer is rated to work in environments with temperatures ranging from -4°F to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C) and humidity from 0%RH to 99%RH.
- Please always handle these devices with care and do not attempt to disassemble.
- Do not immerse these devices in water.
