Tips:
- To optimize battery life and usage, place the earbuds in the charging case when not in use. Otherwise, the sensors will remain active and drain the battery.
- Your earbuds will charge automatically in the charging case if the case is charged.
- On some Motorola phones paired with the earbuds, you can check the battery level of the earbuds and charging case by swiping up on the home screen and tapping Settings > Connected devices > Settings for moto buds loop. For more information, see Moto Buds App and LED Indicator Status.
Association and Connection
Your wireless earbuds are designed to be compatible with a wide range of devices that support Bluetooth and audio functionality. This includes smartphones, tablets, laptops, and all other devices with Bluetooth connectivity and audio output capabilities. The earbuds use Bluetooth technology to connect wirelessly to these devices, allowing you to play audio without a wired connection. Whether you're using your phone to stream music, your tablet to watch a video, or your laptop to join a conference call, these wireless earbuds offer a seamless and comfortable audio experience.
Note: If the LED flashes orange (see LED Indicator Status), it means the case battery is low, and pairing cannot occur. Ensure the charging case is sufficiently charged (see Charging Your Earbuds).
Quick Pairing
You can quickly pair your earbuds with Motorola mobile devices running Android 12 or later, as well as other Android smartphones and tablets compatible with Google Fast Pair.
Tip: Consult your Android device manufacturer for information on Google Fast Pair.
Note: To fully benefit from Google Fast Pair, Google's quick pairing feature, the device must be configured with a Google account.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to pair.
Tip: To turn on Bluetooth on a Motorola phone, swipe up on the home screen and tap ⚙️ Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device.
- With the earbuds in the open case, they will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, and a pop-up window will appear.
Note: If the pop-up window does not appear, see Manual Pairing.
- Tap Connect in the pop-up window and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection, then download the Moto Buds App if it hasn't been downloaded on your device.

- Select moto buds loop in the Bluetooth settings on the device you wish to pair.

Double Connection
Your earbuds can be connected to two devices. Double connection is disabled by default. Enable double connection to avoid manually switching connections.
Note: To enable double connection, at least one of your connected devices must be running an Android system.
- Install the Moto Buds App on your Android device.
- Ensure your earbuds are connected to your Android device (see Association and Connection).
- Tap Moto Buds, then tap the toggle next to Double connection to enable it.
- Follow the steps in Association and Connection to connect to a second device.
Notes:
- When your earbuds are paired with two devices, you can only hear audio from one device at a time. Audio playback is prioritized as follows: incoming calls take priority over media playback (music and videos), and both take priority over an idle device. For example, if your earbuds are connected to a tablet and a smartphone, and you receive a call on the smartphone while watching a video on the tablet, the audio will automatically switch to the smartphone.
- When your earbuds are connected to two devices (Device A and Device B), and Device A is playing media, you can play media on Device B, but the audio from Device B will be paused or muted. Audio from Device B will only be heard through the earbuds when media is paused on Device A.
LED Indicator Status
Refer to the LED indicator (see Charging Case for LED indicator position) for status:
LED Indicator | Status |
---|---|
Blue flashing | Earbuds are pairing |
Green flashing 4 times | Earbuds are paired |
Orange flashing | Case is charging |
Solid green | Case charge is complete or case battery is over 60% |
