Earbud Overview
The earbuds feature a control button, an integrated microphone, and a charging contact.
Charging Case Overview
The charging case includes charging contacts, an LED indicator light, a function button, and a USB-C charging port.
How to Wear Your Earbuds
Attention: If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice.
- Open the bridge to widen and insert each earbud. The front part (spherical) should be positioned in the ear canal, and the back part (bean-shaped) behind the ear.
- Adjust each earbud for a perfect fit and optimal audio quality.
Note: The earbuds are interchangeable and can be worn in either the left or right ear. They will automatically adapt to the correct ear canal. You will hear a 'ding' sound after the in-ear detection tone.

To use the earbuds, perform the following actions on the control buttons:
- Single Press (L or R): Play/pause music or answer/end a call.
- Double Press (L): Play the previous track.
- Double Press (R): Play the next track.
- Triple Press (L): Increase volume.

Charging Your Earbuds
Note: Before charging, remove any protective film from the earbuds and charging case.
Charge the case using a USB-C® cable.
Charging with a USB-C® Cable
Tips:
- To maximize battery life, place the earbuds in the charging case when not in use. This deactivates the sensors and conserves battery.
- Earbuds automatically charge when placed in a charged case.
- On some Motorola phones, you can view battery levels by going to Settings > Connected devices > Settings next to moto buds loop. Refer to the Moto Buds App and LED Status sections for more details.
Pairing and Connecting
These wireless earbuds are designed to work with a wide range of Bluetooth-enabled devices, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. They utilize Bluetooth technology for wireless connection, offering a seamless audio experience.
Note: If the LED indicator shows a flashing orange light, the charging case battery is low and pairing cannot be performed. Charge the case sufficiently.
Quick Pairing
Quickly pair your earbuds with Motorola mobile devices running Android 12 or later, and other Android devices compatible with Google Fast Pair.
Tip: For Google Fast Pair information, consult your Android device manufacturer.
Note: A Google account must be set up on your device for Google Fast Pair functionality.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device you wish to pair.
- If the earbuds are in the open charging case, they will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode, and a pop-up window will appear.
- Tap Connect in the pop-up window and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection and download the Moto Buds app if it's not already installed.
Note: If the pop-up window does not appear, refer to the Manual Pairing section.
Manual Pairing
You can manually pair your earbuds with any Bluetooth-enabled device, including phones, tablets, and laptops running Android, iOS, Windows, and others.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to pair with and open the list of available Bluetooth devices.
- With the earbuds in the open charging case, press and hold the Function button for 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue.
- Select 'moto buds loop' in the Bluetooth settings of the device you are pairing with.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing.
Tip: If a pop-up window appears on your device before you press the Function button, follow the instructions in the Quick Pairing section.
Dual Connection
You can connect your earbuds to two devices simultaneously. Dual connection is disabled by default. Enable it to seamlessly switch between devices.
Note: To enable dual connection, at least one of the connected devices must have an Android system.
- Install the Moto Buds app on your Android device.
- Ensure your earbuds are connected to your Android device (refer to the Pairing and Connecting section).
- In the Moto Buds app, tap the toggle next to 'Dual Connection' to enable it.
- Follow the procedure in the Pairing and Connecting section to connect to a second device.
Notes:
- When paired with two devices, you can listen to audio from only one device at a time. Incoming calls have priority over media playback, and both have priority over an inactive device. For example, if your earbuds are connected to a tablet and a smartphone, and you receive a call on your smartphone while watching a video on your tablet, the audio will automatically switch to your smartphone.
- If your earbuds are connected to two devices (Device A and Device B) and you are playing media on Device A, you can play media on Device B, but Device B's audio will be paused or muted. You can only listen to Device B's audio by pausing the media on Device A.
LED Indicator Status
Refer to the charging case for LED indicator status:
LED Indicator | Status |
---|---|
Flashing blue | Pairing in progress. |
Flashing green four times | Earbuds are paired. |
Flashing orange | Charging the case. |
Solid green | Case charging is complete or above 60%. |
Solid orange | Battery is nearly depleted. |
Flashing white | Earbuds have been reset (see Unpairing, Restarting, or Resetting Your Earbuds). |
