General Information
The system provides high heating capacity at -4°F (-20°C), with heating operation down to -13°F (-25°C).
- The outdoor unit features a standard base pan heater for optimal defrost cycle water drainage.
- The indoor unit includes an integral condensate pump with a maximum 29" lift from the bottom of the unit. It has a check valve and float switch that disables the indoor unit in case of condensate overflow.
- Comfort humidity control is achieved through an integral humidity sensor, optimizing indoor unit coil temperature based on dew point for enhanced dehumidification and occupant comfort.
- A built-in Wi-Fi adapter is standard for control and monitoring via the Samsung SmartThings app.
- Features auto-restart after power loss.
- Includes soft-start compressor to minimize current inrush.
- The outdoor unit supplies 208/230V power to the indoor unit via a 14 AWG x 3 interconnect power cable.
Construction
- Outdoor unit: Galvanized steel with a durable, baked-on powder coated finish.

Refrigerant System

Controls

External Heat Control

Convenience
- Outdoor unit includes a snow accumulation prevention option to prevent snow drifting against an idle outdoor unit.
- Night-time Quiet Mode reduces operational sound during evening hours, with automatic or manual activation.
- Emergency Temperature Output (ETO) function: signals an external source (e.g., backup system, building management system, alert device) if the indoor unit is in an error status or if room temperature exceeds a configurable level.
- The system can be configured for heating/cooling, cooling only, or heating only via outdoor unit option settings.
- Maximum Current Control is configurable from 50% to 100% via the outdoor unit, wired controller, or central control.
