General Information

The indoor unit features a 'calm air' mode that disperses air through micro-holes on the front of the unit, preventing cold drafts on occupants when in cooling mode. The unit has integral Wi-Fi capability as standard. It requires a 208/230V power supply from the outdoor unit via a 14 AWG X 3 interconnect power cable. A built-in motion sensor is included for airflow direction control and energy-saving operation.

Construction

• The indoor unit chassis is UL94 V0 rated and includes a galvanized steel mounting bracket.
• An access panel on the bottom of the unit provides easy access for wire, pipe, and drain connections, simplifying installation and service.

Refrigerant System

• The heat exchanger features a mechanically bonded fin to copper tube design.
• Refrigerant flow is controlled by an electronic expansion valve located at the outdoor unit.

Indoor Fan

• The indoor fan is a single, antibacterial cross-flow type.
• It offers three fan speeds and an auto setting.
• Automatic motorized louvers provide vertical (up/down) and horizontal (left/right) swing.

Controls

• The indoor unit includes a rechargeable, solar-cell wireless controller with a holder. The controller can be charged via a USB C cable or the integral solar panel.
• The wireless controller features a pixel display that is visible in low light conditions.
• A built-in Wi-Fi adapter allows for control and monitoring using the Samsung SmartThings app.
• Dual set temperature support is available when connected to supported wired controllers.
• The indoor unit has a connection for condensate overflow detection devices or any normally closed contact for simple unit shutdown.
• The interconnect control wire between the outdoor and indoor unit is 16AWG X 2.

Convenience

• A 7-segment digital display on the front of the unit shows temperature and unit status.
• A washable main filter is accessible from the top of the unit.
• Unit energy consumption can be monitored via the Samsung SmartThings mobile app (conditions apply).
• AI (Artificial Intelligence) Auto Mode technology learns user patterns to automatically adjust system operation for optimal comfort and efficiency, requiring a Wi-Fi connection.
