SIM Card Information
Do not insert non-standard SIM cards into the SIM card slot, as this may damage the SIM card slot.

- Do not disassemble, strike, crush, or incinerate the battery. If the battery shows signs of deformation, stop using it immediately.
- Do not short-circuit the battery to prevent overheating, burns, or other personal injury.
- Do not expose the battery to high temperatures. Overheating may cause an explosion.
- Do not disassemble, strike, or crush the battery to prevent leakage, overheating, or explosion.
- Do not incinerate the battery to prevent fire or explosion.
- The battery should not be removed or modified by the user. Battery removal or repair should only be performed by an authorized service center.
- Keep the device dry.
- Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. If any part of the device is not functioning properly, contact Mi customer support or take your device to an authorized service center.
- Connect other devices according to their user manuals. Do not connect incompatible devices to this device.
- For AC/DC adapters, the socket-outlet must be installed near the equipment and must be easily accessible.
Safety Precautions
- Observe all applicable laws and regulations restricting the use of mobile phones in specific locations and environments.
- Do not use your phone at a gas station or in explosive atmospheres, including fueling areas, below deck on ships, fuel or chemical storage or transfer facilities, or areas where the air contains chemicals or particles such as grain, dust, or metal powder. Obey all posted signs indicating the need to turn off wireless devices, such as your phone or other radio equipment. Turn off your mobile phone or wireless device when in areas with potential explosive atmospheres or where required by law to turn off RF devices.
- Do not use your phone in operating rooms in hospitals, emergency rooms, or intensive care units. Comply with the hospital and medical center's rules and regulations. To avoid potential interference with a pacemaker, keep a minimum distance of 15 cm between your mobile phone and your pacemaker. Consult your doctor and the device manufacturer of your medical device to determine if the phone should be used near your medical device.

- Use your phone in accordance with traffic laws and regulations when driving.
- To avoid lightning strikes, do not use your phone outdoors during thunderstorms.
- Do not use your phone to make calls while charging.
- Do not use your phone in high humidity environments, such as bathrooms. This may cause electric shock, damage, fire, or damage to the charger.
RF Exposure Information (SAR)
This mobile phone complies with government requirements for exposure to radio waves. This mobile phone is designed and manufactured not to exceed the emission limits for exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy. The exposure standard for wireless mobile phones employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. For body-worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets FCC RF exposure guidelines for use with an accessory that contains no metal and is positioned at a minimum of 1.5 cm from the body. RF exposure compliance for body-worn operation is based on a separation distance of 1.5 cm between the unit and the human body. This device must maintain a separation distance of at least 1.5 cm from the body to ensure RF exposure levels are in compliance with, or below, the stated limits. Compliance with RF exposure for body-worn accessories containing metal has not been tested and verified, and should therefore be avoided. Any accessory used with this device for body-worn operation must ensure a separation distance of at least 1.5 cm between the body and the device.
