Gira Infomodul and Blindmodul
Installation and Functional Overview
Product Information
Infomodul (Model: 5560 9xx): The Infomodul enables the display of information, such as house numbers, and can be individually customized via the Gira text service at www.beschriftung.gira.de.
Blindmodul (Model: 5568 9xx): The Blindmodul provides space for future applications, like adding a camera module, and functions as a design element for creating large door stations within the system design.
Module Mounting
? The following work steps are part of the installation guide for System 106, applicable to 1 to 5-channel surface-mounted or flush-mounted boxes:
- Lock the module onto the function carrier.
- Attach the connection cable.
- Attach the termination resistors.
Termination Resistors
? For 2-channel surface-mounted boxes and above, two termination resistors are included. These resistors are always installed on the first and last module of the system cable.
Module Replacement
The process for replacing a module involves the following steps:
-
Step 1: Detach Module
A module is shown being detached from a wall-mounted unit. A tool, likely a screwdriver, is used to release a locking mechanism.
-
Step 2: Remove Module
The module is shown being pulled away from the backbox, indicated by an arrow showing the direction of removal.
-
Step 3: Install New Module
A new module is depicted being installed. A close-up view shows the connection of the cable and the attachment of termination resistors. The diagram indicates '4x' in relation to the resistors, suggesting their placement within the system.
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of removal.
