Timex IQ+ Move Multi-Time Features

The Timex IQ+ Move Multi-Time timepiece combines the elegance of a classic analog watch with advanced activity tracking capabilities. It tracks multiple metrics including steps, distance, calories, and sleep.

Minimum Requirements

This watch requires a compatible iOS or Android smartphone and the Timex Connected smartphone app. Download the Timex Connected mobile app from www.timex.com/getstarted.

Overview

The watch features a main dial with hour and minute hands, a second hand/Perfect Date® indicator, and a sub-dial for the 2nd Time Zone. The crown is located on the side, and there are two buttons: Button 1 at 2H and Button 2 at 4H.

How to Set Up Your Watch

Note: Pairing your watch and smartphone is performed during the on-boarding steps. Do not attempt to pair devices from the smartphone's manual Bluetooth® settings.

1. Download the Timex Connected app to your smartphone.
2. Ensure Bluetooth® function is turned ON in your smartphone settings.
3. On your watch, press and release the crown into the closed (pushed in) position.
4. On your smartphone, with your watch near your phone, follow the instructions in the app:
   1. Open the Timex Connected app.
   2. Accept the user agreement.
   3. Select the iQ+ Move Multi-Time watch.
   4. For Android only: grant permission and accept device location.
   5. Answer user profile questions to set up time zones, activity tracking, and set goals.
   6. When prompted, press and hold the crown for 5 seconds until a melody plays and all hands move to approximately 12 o'clock. Bluetooth® function is now turned on.
   7. From the list, select the "iQ Move Multi-Time xxxxxx" watch.
   8. If a watch update is available, it will install automatically.
   9. Follow app instructions to calibrate watch hands.

After completing these steps, your watch will be synced with your smartphone and set to the phone time, with its activity and sleep tracking functions ready to use.

Changing the Time

The time displayed on your watch is updated from your phone upon successful initial setup. Each time the watch and smartphone app are synced, the time will be updated.

To manually override the time on your watch, gently pull out the crown to the outer position. The subdial hand will point UP, indicating you will be changing the time in the Primary Time Zone (the time shown normally on the main dial). Rotate the crown to set the time.

Pressing Button 2 will cause the subdial hand to point DOWN, indicating you can change the 2nd Time Zone time. Rotate the crown to set the time.

Then push the crown to the closed position to finish changing the time.

Following a sync, the times displayed on the watch main dial and the subdial will return to showing the phone time on the main dial, and the 2nd Time Zone on the subdial, as set by the phone app.

Watch Crown Positions

The watch crown has four positions:

• Temporary push position: Push briefly to activate the INDIGLO® night-light and show the Perfect Date® feature. Push longer than 5 seconds to activate Bluetooth® function.
• Closed, middle, and outer positions: Observe how the watch hands change as the crown is moved. First, extend the crown to its outer position, then push the crown very lightly until it clicks into the middle position, before pushing it to closed.

Activating the INDIGLO® Night-Light

Press and hold the crown to activate the INDIGLO® night-light. The light will stay on for 2-3 seconds after the crown is released. Pressing the crown for longer than 5 seconds will activate sync mode and hands will move to the 12 o'clock positions.

Watch Buttons

The watch has two buttons:

BUTTON 1 (at 2H)

Temporarily switches time displayed on the sub-dial to the main dial and switches the main dial time to the sub-dial. The second hand displays the perfect date of the 2nd time zone.

BUTTON 2 (at 4H)

The second hand temporarily displays total steps or total distance, as set in the app.

Pressing and holding both buttons simultaneously for more than 10 seconds will sound a melody to indicate the watch has entered Airplane Mode. In this state, the watch will not try to activate Bluetooth® automatically.

To cancel Airplane Mode, either depress and hold both buttons for 10 seconds until a melody sounds, or depress and hold the crown to activate Bluetooth®.

Synchronizing Watch and Smartphone

Synchronization, or sync, performs the following:

• Transfers the previous 7 calendar days' worth of activity and sleep tracking data from the watch to your phone.
• Updates the watch time to match the smartphone time.
• Sends other app settings, such as alarm, 2nd Time Zone to display, etc. to the watch.
• Sends other watch information, such as low battery, to the smartphone.
• Does not delete activity data, either during or after synchronization.
• Checks for watch updates and updates automatically.

Note: To prevent data loss, synchronize the watch to the smartphone app a minimum of every six days.

Note: The watch must be within 2 meters (6.5 feet) distance of your smartphone for optimal communication.

To synchronize the watch and the smartphone:

1. Open the Timex Connected app on your smartphone.
2. On your watch, push and hold the crown for 5 seconds until a melody sounds and the hands move to the 12 o'clock position.
3. Immediately tap the sync icon (represented by two arrows forming a circle) on the lower right on the app.
4. Listen for the melody that indicates the watch has completed Bluetooth® synchronization with the smartphone app.

Note: If the Bluetooth® connection between the smartphone app and the watch is disrupted, re-pair the watch and smartphone as follows:

1. Tell your smartphone to "forget" the watch:
   1. In your smartphone's settings (not the Timex app), view Bluetooth devices.
   2. Have your smartphone un-pair ("forget" or disconnect) your iQ+ Move Multi-Time watch.
   3. Exit the Bluetooth® settings.
   4. Open the Timex Connected app and sync watch and smartphone.

Showing Seconds, Date, Distance, Steps

By default, the second hand shows seconds as on any analog watch.

When the second hand is set to show seconds, pressing the crown temporarily causes the second hand to point to the current day of the month. For example, at 23 seconds past the minute, pressing the crown would cause the second hand to point to 10 on the tenth day of the month.

The second hand can be set to show, instead of seconds, the number of steps, distance, day of the month, or 3rd Time Zone in 24 Hour Format. These settings are configured in the smartphone app.

Alarm

Set and turn on daily alarm on the smartphone app. Sync to send alarm setting to the watch. When the alarm sounds, the night-light flashes on the watch. Press the crown to silence; if the crown is not pressed, the alarm will sound for 20 seconds.

Countdown Timer

Set and start the Countdown Timer on the smartphone app. Sync to send to the watch. The watch beeps and the night-light flashes when the countdown ends. Press the crown to silence; if the crown is not pressed, the alert will sound for 20 seconds.

Adjusting Stride Length

The Timex iQ+ Move Multi-Time uses an algorithm for distance measurement which automatically determines stride based on height and speed. If the reported distance does not match actual walking or running distance, the distance can be calibrated by up to +/- 25% via the distance-adjustment option on the watch section of the app in the smartphone app.

Low Battery Power

The watch indicates when the battery needs to be replaced:

• During synchronization with the smartphone, the app will alert the user if the battery needs to be replaced soon.
• The watch second hand will begin to move every 2 seconds in 2-second increments until the battery is replaced.

When battery power is low:

• To conserve power, the INDIGLO® night-light will not function until the battery has been replaced.
• The watch and smartphone will not communicate.
• Activity tracking functions will remain functional until the battery is completely depleted, but new data will not be stored.

Replacing the Battery

Before replacing the battery, it is recommended to synchronize to the smartphone app to ensure all the latest activity and sleep data from the watch have been retrieved. After the battery is replaced, the watch will need to be re-calibrated with the smartphone.

Storing the Watch

Power can be removed from the watch for storage. To do this, pull the crown out to the outer position. With the crown in this position, the hour, minute, and second hands will stop immediately, and the activity- and sleep-tracking functions will be inactive after 30 minutes.

Smartphone App Updates

As smartphone app updates become available, users will be notified on their smartphone, similar to updates for other smartphone apps. Update this app using the same process as updating any other app. The specific process varies by smartphone.

Watch Updates

As watch updates become available, users will be notified in the Timex Connected smartphone app. Follow the instructions in the app.

Note: Because the update will delete all activity recorded for the current day, performing the update early in the day will minimize the loss of recorded activity.

Water Resistance

Warning: To maintain water resistance, do not press any buttons under water.

Note: To confirm that your watch is water resistant, check for the water resistance symbol (a wavy line or wave icon) before immersing in water.

Your iQ+ Move Multi-Time watch is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters (164 feet).

• The watch is water resistant only as long as the lens, push buttons, and case remain intact.
• The watch is not a diver's watch and should not be used for diving.
• Rinse the watch with fresh water after exposure to salt water.
