Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Plug directly into a 120V AC electrical outlet to avoid fire or shock hazard.
  • Remove plastic bag from filter before use if shipped covered.
  • Keep cord out of heavy traffic areas; do not place under rugs or near heat registers.
  • DO NOT immerse the appliance in water or other liquids; do not use near water.
  • Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children or disabled persons.
  • Always unplug the air purifier before moving, cleaning, opening the grill, or changing filters. Pull the plug, not the cord.
  • NEVER drop or insert objects into unit openings.
  • DO NOT operate with a damaged cord or plug. Return for examination/repair if motor fails or unit is damaged.
  • Use only for intended household use; unauthorized attachments may cause hazards.
  • DO NOT use outdoors.
  • NEVER place on soft surfaces (bed, sofa) that could block air inlet/outlet grills.
  • Keep unit away from heated surfaces and open flames.
  • DO NOT attempt to repair or adjust electrical/mechanical functions; this voids the warranty. Servicing by Jarden Consumer Solutions or authorized center only.
  • DO NOT place anything on top of the unit.
  • NEVER use detergents, gasoline, glass cleaner, furniture polish, paint thinner, or other solvents for cleaning.
  • Always turn the appliance off before unplugging.
  • The ionizer produces less ozone than UL limits, but high concentrations can be harmful to birds/small pets. Use ionizer in well-ventilated areas with the fan on to prevent ozone buildup.
  • Use only in rooms with temperatures between 40°F and 110°F.
  • ⚠️ Warning: To reduce fire/electric shock risk, DO NOT use with any solid-state speed control device.

Polarized Plug Warning: This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade wider than the other). To reduce electric shock risk, it fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If it does not fit fully, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. DO NOT attempt to modify this plug or defeat this safety feature.

Features

Cord Safety

The cord length is selected to reduce tangling/tripping hazards. Use an approved extension cord if needed, ensuring its electrical rating is equal to or greater than the air purifier's. Arrange cords to prevent pulling or tripping.

Get to Know Your Air Purifier

This unit is compatible with all Aer1® Filters, allowing you to choose the best filter for your needs. See the "Aer1® Filter Series" section for details.

Ionizer

The optional ionizer releases negative ions into filtered air to aid the purification process. Ions are naturally occurring charged particles. Negative ions attach to airborne particles, causing them to clump together and be more easily captured by the filter. Occasional popping/cracking sounds are normal. Dust attraction around grills indicates the ionizer is working. To help prevent particle attraction to surfaces, you may run the ionizer less often or check filters more frequently.

⚠️ Caution: The ionizer produces minimal ozone, but in high concentrations, it can be harmful to birds and small pets. Use in well-ventilated areas with the fan on.

Speed Settings

Choose from HIGH (3), MEDIUM (2), or LOW (1) speed settings using the Speed Control Knob. For optimum filtration, continuous operation on MEDIUM is recommended. LOW is for quieter operation, and HIGH is for quickly circulating and filtering air during high pollution levels.
