Basic Operations

DC Voltage Measurement (V=): Connect the red probe to the VΩmA jack and the black probe to the COM jack. Set the dial to V=. Connect probes across the voltage source. Example shows 12.56V.

Continuity Test (Beep Symbol): Connect the red probe to the VΩmA jack and the black probe to the COM jack. Set the dial to the continuity symbol (looks like a sound wave or diode symbol). If continuity exists, the multimeter will beep. Example shows a reading of 35Ω, indicating continuity.
