Important Safety Information
General Safety Precautions:
- Installation and commissioning, as well as any modifications, must only be performed by authorized personnel (qualified electricians).
- The manufacturer is not liable for damages resulting from improper installation, incorrect operation, or unauthorized modifications.
- The luminaire is intended exclusively for lighting purposes and must be installed in accordance with national regulations. Any other use is considered "not according to instructions".
- Caution: Risk of electric shock! Disconnect mains cables and DALI control lines before performing any maintenance or assembly work. Ensure power is off.
- Interruption of the neutral conductor during operation can cause overvoltage damage to the lighting system. Ensure neutral terminals are disconnected only when voltage-free and reconnected before power is restored.
- Commissioning should only occur after the construction phase when mains voltage is continuously available.
- Dispose of packaging and luminaires in accordance with applicable regional environmental regulations.
- Technical specifications are subject to change without notice. Contact the manufacturer for any questions.
- The luminaire must not be covered with thermal insulating material.
- Use supplied control gear only in conjunction with the associated luminaire.
- Hot plug-in is prohibited. Hot plug-in can damage the luminaire and void the warranty.
- The luminaire achieves IP44 protection type only when installed in an enclosed ceiling. IP44 protection does not apply in the ceiling void itself.
- For thin or soft ceiling materials, it is recommended to use ceiling reinforcing rings or frames to enlarge the bearing surface.
Installation Instructions
The following steps outline the general installation process. Refer to specific diagrams for detailed guidance.
- Preparation: Ensure the power is disconnected. Prepare the ceiling opening according to the specified dimensions.
- Mounting: Insert the luminaire into the prepared opening. Secure it in place, using reinforcing rings if necessary for softer ceiling materials.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the mains supply and any DALI control lines. Ensure all connections are secure and correctly wired according to the diagrams. Pay attention to the neutral conductor connection.
- Looping-in (Feed Through): For continuous wiring, connect the input and output cables as shown in the diagrams for SWI and LDO modules. Ensure correct cable management and maximum conductor cross-section (e.g., Max. 3x 1.5 mm²).
- Specific Module Connections:
- SWI Module: Connect cables as per diagram, ensuring proper seating of conductors.
- LDO Module: Connect cables for DALI (DA/L, DA/N) and mains (L, N) as indicated.
- switchDIM Philips/Osram: Follow the specific wiring diagrams for switchDIM functionality with Philips or Osram control systems.
- Commissioning: Once installation is complete and all connections are verified, restore power and commission the luminaire.
