Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the DOD Mini Volume Pedal. This is a miniature passive volume pedal designed to provide a full range of volume control without taking up valuable space on your pedalboard.
Features:
- Small footprint: Takes up minimal space on your pedalboard.
- Long treadle: Provides a full range of control.
- High-quality 500k potentiometer: Offers smooth volume adjustments with a high cycle rating.
- Built-in treble bleed circuit: Prevents treble loss at lower volume settings.
- Removable rubber feet: For mounting on a pedalboard.
- 1/4" TS input and output jacks.
- Non-slip treadle pad.
- Rugged construction.
Setup
Follow these steps for initial setup:
- Turn off your amplifier and connect your cables. (Note: The original document mentions a wiring diagram but none is provided. Ensure you use unbalanced TS cables.)
- Lower your amplifier's volume, press the toe of the DOD Mini Volume Pedal down, and then turn on your amplifier.
- Slowly increase your amplifier's volume until you reach the desired level.
Important Usage Notes
The two hex screws on the bottom of the pedal are part of the spring adjustment mechanism. If you notice slipping over time, slightly loosen these screws and then retighten them. This will re-engage the main drive gear against the treadle gear. DO NOT remove these screws or tamper with the pedal while the screws are loose, as this can cause gear misalignment and pedal malfunction. There are no user-serviceable components inside the pedal. DO NOT open the pedal under any circumstances.

- UNPLUG THIS APPARATUS DURING LIGHTNING STORMS OR WHEN UNUSED FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A grounding-type plug has two blades and a third grounding pin. The wide blade or the third pin is for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of your obsolete outlet. Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched, particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles, and the point where they exit from the apparatus. Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid injury from tip-over.
Servicing
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled into, or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
Power Switch
The mains switch used in this unit does NOT interrupt the connection from the mains. MAINS DISCONNECTION: The plug must remain readily operable. For rack mounting or installation where the plug is not accessible, a mains switch must be incorporated into the rack or building's electrical installation for all poles with a contact separation of at least 3 mm in each pole.
When connecting to a 240V supply, use a suitable CSA/UL certified power cord.
