System Diagram and Connectivity
The system diagram illustrates the connection of the micro inverter within a solar energy setup. Solar panels connect to the micro inverters. These inverters communicate wirelessly (Wi-Fi) to a Wi-Fi router, which then connects to an Ali Cloud Server. This server enables remote monitoring and control via a mobile application. The system also includes a meter and switch, and connects to the main power grid.
Communication Modes:
The micro inverter supports Wi-Fi communication, connecting to a router which then links to the Ali Cloud Server for data exchange and app control. LoRa communication is also an option, connecting to a Wi-Fi router.
Connector and Cable Core Description:
The micro inverter uses a connector for its cables. The connections are:
- 2-G-Ground: Typically a yellow and green wire, 4mm² in size.
- 3-N-Neutral: Typically a blue wire, 4mm² in size.
- 1-L-Live wire: Typically a brown wire, 4mm² in size.
Note: It is recommended to use a professionally customized AC bus with a T-type connector for each branch, connecting them together to form a modular micro-inverter branch wiring system.
Installation and Setup Guide
1. Download Cloud Intelligence APP
Download the "Cloud Intelligence" APP by scanning the provided QR codes or searching on the App Store [App Store] or Google Play [Google Play]. The APP requires Android 5.0 or iOS 9 and above.
Note: Please observe the following installation conditions:
- Connect the communication antenna on the inverter.
- Place the inverter in an area with a good Wi-Fi signal.
- Ensure the connected Wi-Fi network is in the 2.4G mode.
- Reset the inverter for the first use.
2. Add Device
Open the "Cloud Intelligence" APP. Log in to your account and click the "+" icon in the upper right corner to start adding equipment. If a device is already under your account, click the device icon to view its details.
3. Entry Equipment
When the APP enters the QR code scanning state, scan the QR code label on the inverter body. The APP will automatically collect the inverter code and navigate to the Wi-Fi connection page. Enter the current Wi-Fi password and click "Next".
4. Distribution Network
Connect the inverter to the power supply as required. Quickly press the "Reset" button. The LED indicator will change to flashing blue and red alternately, indicating the inverter has entered the standby state for distribution network setup.
5. Initialization
With the inverter in standby mode, return to the mobile APP's device operation page. Check the box confirming you have completed the preceding operations and click "Start Connection". The page will then show a signal search. The LED indicator on the inverter will change from flashing red/blue to a solid blue light when the network distribution is complete. The APP will automatically proceed to a system completion confirmation page; click "Finish".
6. Inverter Control
Access the "Settings" button on the system details page within the APP. Here, users can adjust the inverter's output power, set timers, enable remote start/stop, and configure other parameters as needed.
Features of the Smart APP:
The Smart APP, in conjunction with Alibaba Cloud IoT, provides real-time data transmission. Users can view operation status through graphs and displays, monitor energy generation, and adjust system output power.
Remarks for Multiple Inverters:
- When adding multiple inverters in English mode, separate their codes with commas (e.g., 60001234, 6000E312).
- Each Modem can monitor up to 60 inverters simultaneously.
- A total of 2 lists are available, with each list accommodating up to 30 inverter codes.
- The "Clear" function should be used with caution.
LED Indicator Function
The LED indicator on the micro inverter provides status information:
- 1. Red light keeps on: The equipment enters the preparatory working state.
- 2. Red light flashes: The device enters the delayed start-up state.
- 3. Blue light flashes quickly: MPPT maximum power point search status.
- 4. Blue light keeps on: MPPT maximum power point locked state.
- 5. Blue light turns to red light for a long time: Indicates one of the following: a) Island protection; b) Frequency protection; c) Fault; d) Software shutdown; e) AC voltage over-voltage protection; f) DC voltage over-voltage protection.
Normal Working Indicator Flashing Process
When the micro-inverter is correctly connected to AC and DC terminals and powered on, the indicator sequence is as follows:
- The red light stays on for 3 seconds.
- The red light flashes for 30 seconds.
- The blue light flashes quickly (MPPT maximum power point search).
- The blue light stays on (MPPT lock).
