Crucial Safety: Wall Mounting
This step is essential to prevent furniture tip-over. Follow these guidelines:
-
Wall Type Identification
The provided screws and plugs are suitable for most solid (A) and hollow (B) walls. For solid wood (C), use screws without plugs. If uncertain, seek professional advice.
-
Drilling and Anchoring
Mark the wall for drilling holes, ensuring alignment with the anti-tip bracket. Use the appropriate drill bit (Ø 5/16" or Ø 1/8") based on the wall type and hardware. For solid walls, insert screws directly or use wall plugs. For hollow walls, insert the provided wall plugs into the drilled holes.
-
Securing the Bracket
Attach the anti-tip bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Ensure it is firmly fixed.
-
Connecting Furniture to Wall
Attach the other end of the anti-tip hardware (strap or bracket) to the furniture, typically at the top rear. Connect this to the wall-mounted bracket, ensuring the furniture is pulled securely against the wall and cannot tip forward.
Drawer Interlock System: Ensure the drawer interlock system functions correctly, preventing more than one drawer from being opened simultaneously, which enhances stability.
