General Description

The Alctron S507 is a professional stereo recording microphone suitable for mobile phones, computers, and DSLR cameras. While mobile phones and computers typically offer mono input, the S507 can be fully utilized with DSLR cameras and voice recorders. It features two recording range options: 90 degrees for narrow sound sources like solo instruments or dialogue, providing clear positioning within the stereo sound space, and 120 degrees for wider sound sources such as orchestras, choirs, and stage performances, ensuring natural stereo recording.

How to Install the Battery

Follow these steps to install the battery:

1. Unscrew the microphone's rear cover.
2. Remove the body shell to access the battery holder.
3. Insert the battery according to the polarity indication (positive [+] and negative [-]).
4. Mount the shell back into the microphone.
5. Screw the microphone's rear cover back on.

Battery Indicator: Upon powering on the microphone, the battery indicator will light up for 1 second. When the battery is low, please replace it. A single No. 5 battery typically provides approximately 150 hours of continuous operation.

Installation

To assemble the microphone with its mount:

1. Connect the component parts.
2. Switch the strut into its setting until it is tightened.
3. Secure the shock mount; ensure it is properly attached.
4. Can Adjust Angle: The angle of the microphone mount can be adjusted.
5. First, carefully thread the cable through the shock mount. Gently push the belt away on both sides, then slide the microphone's tail into the shock mount and push the microphone. Avoid pushing too hard, as it may obstruct the power switch. After assembly, the microphone is ready for use.

Safety Precautions

• Do not charge the battery.
• Remove the battery if the microphone will not be used for an extended period.
• Store the microphone out of the reach of children.
• Avoid storing the microphone in direct sunlight, near heating devices, or in hot, humid, or dusty environments. Do not expose the microphone to moisture.
• Do not disassemble, modify, or attempt to repair the microphone yourself.
• Connect and disconnect the cable by holding the plug. Pulling directly on the cable may cause wire damage and the risk of electric shock.
