Assembly: Playard
- Unzip the bag and remove the playard frame. Undo fasten straps and set the mattress aside. Do not push the center down yet. (Illustration showing the playard frame being removed from the bag.)
- Ensure all four top rails are fully erected before lowering the center. Pull up one rail at a time, holding each side, and pull sharply upwards. Do not pull from the middle where the center latch release is located. Ensure both tubes latch securely and each rail is rigid. (Diagram illustrating how to pull up the top rails and ensure they are rigid.) IMPORTANT: The center must be raised while locking the rails. If one rail locks but the other does not, unlock the rail by squeezing the release in the center and try again.
- Once all four top rails are locked, push down on the center handle. The center mechanism will rotate 90 degrees clockwise and lock automatically. (Illustration showing the center handle being pushed down to lock the rails.) IMPORTANT: Test each top rail by pushing down slightly to confirm it is rigid and securely in place before use. (Diagram showing the center mechanism locking.)
- Place the mattress on the floor of the playard with the padded side facing up. (Illustration showing the mattress placement on the playard floor.)
- Insert the Velcro® straps from the underside of the mattress through the slots in the floor of each end of the playard. Fasten the hook and loop straps to the underside of the playard floor to prevent the mattress from moving. (Diagram showing the Velcro straps being attached to the playard floor.) IMPORTANT: The center handle must remain raised (approx. 45.7 cm or 18 inches) while locking the side rails. If the center is not raised, the rails will not lock. If you experience difficulty, contact Customer Service.
- To operate the brakes on the wheels, press downward on the brake levers. To release, lift upward on the lever. (Diagram showing the operation of the brake levers on the wheels.)
Folding the Playard
- Release the Velcro® straps holding the mattress from underneath the playard floor or bassinet and set the mattress aside. Do not unlock top rails yet; the center of the floor must be raised before top rails will unlock.
- Rotate the center handle counter-clockwise 90 degrees and raise the center as high as the top rails. Gather the legs and wheels towards the center so they nearly touch. (Illustration of the folding mechanism for the playard.)
- Locate the rail latch release in the center and bottom side of each rail. Squeeze the lever with two hands until the rail releases the two tubes, then push down. NOTE: If top rails do not release completely, DO NOT FORCE! Lift the center of the floor higher. Both tubes must be released for the top rail to fold. (Diagram showing how to release the rail latch.)
- Gather the four corners and center them tightly. Wrap the mattress around the playard frame with the padded side facing inward. (Illustration of gathering the playard frame corners for folding.)
- Secure the hooks and loop straps by feeding them through the loops on the end of the mattress and folding them back onto themselves. Place the folded playard into the carry bag so that the handle comes through the opening between each side of the zipper. (Diagram showing how to secure the mattress in the carry bag.)
Assembly: Bassinet
- Position the bassinet over and down into the fully assembled playard. Secure in place by pushing down firmly on each plastic support clip until all are snapped into place. (Illustration of attaching the bassinet to the playard frame.)
- Ensure the tubes line up with the holes in the front frame assembly. Insert the assembled mattress support tubes into the loops provided on the bottom of the bassinet. (Diagrams showing the connection of support tubes for the bassinet.)
- Place the mattress into the bassinet with the padded side facing upward. Fasten tabs underneath the mattress to secure it in place. (Illustration of placing the mattress in the bassinet.)
Assembly: Canopy
- To assemble the canopy: If the canopy is U-shaped, assemble it before attaching to the playard. If it is C-shaped, skip to step 15.
- Open the canopy as seen in the diagram. Make opening adjustments at the top by aligning the inner center strap with the two outer straps. Open the canopy completely and feel the top center to ensure straps are aligned correctly so the canopy fits the playard. (Diagrams showing the assembly and attachment of the canopy.)
- Position the canopy in the center of the playard. Attach each side of the canopy by firmly pressing canopy clips onto the center of the top rails, as close to the center as possible. Attach the other end of the canopy by snapping the two buttons or velcro located near each corner of the playard. (Illustration of attaching the canopy clips and buttons to the playard.)
Assembly: Changing Table
- Connect the two long curved bars together. Insert the assembled curved bars into the changing table fabric, sliding them around inside the sleeve.
- Connect the two short bars to each end of the long curved bars. Ensure knobs face down and in the same direction on each end. (Diagrams showing the assembly of the changing table frame.)
- Insert connector knob prongs into holes located on both corners of the playard. Turn the connector knobs counter-clockwise to lock into place. Flip the changing table over onto the playard. Snap the two buttons on the flap down onto the playard. (Diagrams showing the attachment of the changing table to the playard.)
- Locate the velcro straps on the bottom of the changing table and on the inside of the playard side rails. (Illustration showing velcro strap locations for the changing table.)
- Flip the changing table into its upper position. (Diagram showing the changing table being flipped into its upper position.)
- Secure the changing table to the playard frame by fastening the velcro straps on the underside of the changing table to the side rails of the playard frame. Check that the changing table is correctly and securely installed BEFORE each use.
TO USE CHANGING TABLE RESTRAINT SYSTEM: Place child on changing table, ensuring hands and arms are clear of the restraint. Bring the restraint around the child's waist and clip the male and female ends of the buckle together. Tighten strap until snug, but DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN. To remove, unsnap the buckle. ATTENTION: NEVER use the changing table if it is damaged or broken. (Diagrams showing the use of the restraint system on the changing table.)
TO REMOVE CHANGING TABLE: Flip the changing table to the outside of the playard. Unsnap the fabric flap. Twist connector knobs clockwise to unlock. Remove the changing table and disconnect the short bars from the curved bar by pressing snap buttons and pulling apart. Remove the curved bar from the changing table sleeve. (Illustrations showing how to remove the changing table.)
Assembly: Parent Organizer / Diaper Stacker
- Parent Organizer: Position each hook so the hooked end faces the rear of the organizer. Press the hook firmly into the slot until it snaps into place. (Diagram showing hook placement.) Diaper Stacker: Skip to step 2.
- Connect the parent organizer/diaper stacker to the playard by sliding the two connecting clips over an open portion of the top rail of the playard. (Diagram showing attachment to the playard.) NOTE: The organizer/stacker can only be installed on open sides of the playard where clips attach easily without interfering with other features.
Assembly: Mobile
- Attach the mobile to the tri-shaped arm, aligning slots on both pieces, then gently press together. (Illustration of attaching the mobile to the tri-shaped arm.)
- Attach the mobile to the canopy using the velcro and connecting the straps through the hole in the top of the mobile housing. (Diagram showing the mobile attached to the canopy using velcro.)
Operation: Music Center
The Music Center is designed to be attached to the playard corners, changing table side, or canopy side. (Illustration showing possible attachment points.)
