Begin To Use The New ESC
WARNING! For safety, please always keep the wheels away from the track when switching on the ESC.
- Connect the ESC, Motor, Receiver, Battery, and Servo. The #A, #B, #C wires of the ESC can be connected with the motor wires freely. If the motor runs in the opposite direction, please swap any two wire connections.
Throttle Range Setting (Throttle Range Calibration)
It is necessary to calibrate the throttle range when using a new ESC, a new transmitter, or changing throttle settings. Follow these steps:
- Switch off the ESC. Turn on the transmitter. Set the throttle channel direction to "REV". Set the "EPA/ATV" value of the throttle channel to "100%". Disable the ABS function of your transmitter.
- Hold the "SET" key and then switch on the ESC. Release the "SET" key as soon as the red LED begins to flash. If the red LED flashes, release the "SET" key.
- Set the three points: neutral, full forward, and full backward.
- Neutral point: Move the throttle stick to the neutral point, and then click the SET key. The green LED flashes once.
- Full forward: Move the throttle stick to the full forward position, and then click the SET key. The green LED flashes twice.
- Full backward: Move the throttle stick to the full backward position, and then click the SET key. The green LED flashes three times.
- Throttle range is calibrated. The motor can be started after 3 seconds.
Check LED Status In Normal Running
- Neutral: Red and Green LEDs are off.
- Forward: Red LED is solid. Green LED is also solid when throttle is at 100%.
- Braking: Red LED is solid. Green LED is also solid when throttle is at full brake (100%) and maximum brake force is set.
- Reverse: Red LED is solid.
Power-On Beep Instructions
When powering on normally, the motor will emit beeps to indicate the number of lithium battery cells:
- 2S LiPO: "Beep beep"
- 3S LiPO: "Beep beep beep"
- 4S LiPO: "Beep beep beep beep"
- 6S LiPO: "Beep beep beep beep beep beep"
Programmable Items List
The following table lists the programmable items and their default settings (in italics):
