Assembly Steps
- Attach the lampshade (A) to the canopy (B) using screws (C), then secure with nuts (D).
- Install the mounting plate (E) onto the outlet box using screws (F).
- Loosen the hex nuts around the bolts (G) and adjust the bolts from the junction box to achieve the correct length for installation.
- Connect the fixture wire to the circuit wire using wire nuts (H): connect the black fixture wire to the live wire, the white fixture wire to the neutral wire, and the ground fixture wire to the ground wire. Twist the wire nuts to secure the connections and wrap them with insulated rubber tape.
- Secure the canopy (B) to the mounting plate (E) using the ball nuts (J).
- Screw the bulb (K) into the lamp holder.
Wiring Diagram Description
The diagram illustrates the electrical connection process for the fixture. It shows an outlet box from which a ground wire, a live wire, and a neutral wire emerge. The fixture itself has corresponding wires: a black wire (typically for live), a white wire (typically for neutral), and a ground wire. These are connected using wire nuts (H). The diagram also depicts the mounting plate (E), canopy (B), and the attachment points for the lampshade (A) and bulb (K). Labels A through K correspond to specific components mentioned in the assembly steps.
Recommended Bulb Shape
Two recommended bulb shapes are illustrated for this fixture: G50, which measures approximately 3 inches in height and 1.97 inches in width, and G45, which measures approximately 2.77 inches in height and 1.77 inches in width.
