Product Overview
The Thermokon JOY Fancoil series offers advanced room thermostats designed for individual temperature control in commercial and residential buildings. These devices are tailored for two-pipe and four-pipe fan coil units and feature a modern design with a 2.5" LCD and a touch-sensitive surface. They support up to three time program options, each with four time periods.
JOY Fancoil 5DO (85..260 V~)
This model is designed for fan coil units with two-wire electric valves. It offers three normally open contacts for fan speed control and is suitable for controlling temperature in various building types.
JOY Fancoil EC AO2DO (85..260 V ~)
Designed for fan coil units with EC fans, this model supports 2- and 4-pipe systems. It includes 2 relays and 1 analog output (0-10V) for controlling heating valves, cooling valves, and EC fans.
JOY Fancoil EC 3AO (24 V ~/=)
This model is suitable for controlling two-wire electric valves or a 6-way valve. It is designed for individual temperature control in commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

Mounting and Installation
Mounting Advise: Ensure the mounting box is sealed. Avoid installation in areas with air draughts, near heating sources, direct sunlight, or between furniture. Plasterboard boxes should be covered by wallpaper or paint to prevent the rim from being visible.
Electrical Connection: Terminals for power, fan control, and Modbus communication are clearly labeled. Ensure correct wiring, especially for 24V supplies, to avoid short circuits.
Software and Configuration
Firmware Updates: Updates can be performed using a MicroSD card. The device features an integrated bootloader for application loading.
Configuration: Thermokon's uConfig software (Windows 10 compatible) is used for parameterizing the device. Configuration files can be transferred via MicroSD card or Modbus interface.
Parameter Menu: Accessible via button combinations, allowing adjustments to time channels, date/time, sensor settings, and common device settings.
Security Advice
CAUTION: Installation and assembly of electrical equipment should only be performed by authorized personnel. Ensure all power is disconnected before installation. Risk of electric shock exists due to live components within the enclosure.
Disposal: Products must not be disposed of with household waste. Follow national laws for separate disposal.
Accessories
Optional accessories include frames for surface mounting (pure white and black) and decorative frames. A MicroSD card and RS485 biasing adapter are also available.
