The Behringer EUROLIVE D Series offers high-power, 2-way PA sound reinforcement speaker systems designed for live and playback applications. These ultra-compact and lightweight systems deliver excellent sound quality, even at extreme sound pressure levels, thanks to revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology and internal switch-mode power supplies.

Four models are available: the B215D (15" woofer) and B212D (12" woofer) deliver 550 Watts, while the B210D (10" woofer) and B208D (8" woofer) provide 200 Watts. Each system features a powerful, long-excursion driver for deep bass and an advanced 1.35" aluminum-diaphragm compression driver for exceptional high-frequency reproduction, coupled with an ultra-wide dispersion, large-format exponential horn.

Intelligent Design & Class-D Technology

Behringer's D Series "Intelligent Design" merges the best features of active loudspeakers with significantly lower weight by utilizing switch-mode power supplies and Class-D amplifier topology. This approach provides a much better power-to-weight ratio compared to competing active speakers, delivering full power without the backbreaking weight.

Class-D amplifier technology operates by switching amplifiers on and off thousands of times per second, delivering power only when needed. This significantly reduces power losses in the output devices, resulting in high efficiency, low heat generation, and reduced weight. The integrated sound processor includes an active 2-way electronic crossover, graphic EQ, parametric EQ, mic preamp, and limiter, providing comprehensive system control and speaker protection automatically.

Connectivity and Controls

Each speaker features an ultra-low noise Mic/Line input with a dedicated Volume control and Clip LED for optimizing input signal level. A 2-band EQ (bass/treble) allows for easy tonal adjustment. For expanding the system, an additional Line output (XLR connector) enables linking of other Behringer active loudspeaker systems.

Versatility and Applications

The versatile trapezoidal enclosure design allows for different positioning, including stand mounting with a standard 35-mm pole socket or tilting on its side for use as a floor monitor. Ergonomically shaped handles (two on B215D/B212D, one on B210D) facilitate easy carrying. These systems can be used to create an instant PA system by connecting a microphone or MP3 player directly. For stereo playback, two enclosures can be linked.

Choosing the right speaker depends on application and room size. Larger woofers provide more bass output, making the B215D a suitable choice for larger venues or higher volume requirements, while the B208D might suffice for smaller meetings or demonstrations.
