Important Information
Battery
The battery installed in the watch at the factory discharges during delivery and storage. If you notice signs of low power (dim display), the battery must be replaced at the nearest authorized CASIO service center or CASIO dealer.
Water Protection
For all categories of watches, the following are prohibited:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Adjusting hands underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to salt water, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear watches with leather straps while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of leather straps with water.
Water Resistance Ratings
Watches are classified by rating (from I to V) according to their degree of water protection. Check your watch's rating using the table below to determine its proper use.
* Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Underwater Swimming, Diving, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |
II | WATER RESISTANT | ✔️ | ❌ | ❌ | ❌ |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | ✔️ | ✔️ | ❌ | ❌ |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ❌ |
V | 200 M WATER RESISTANT / 300 M WATER RESISTANT | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ | ✔️ |
Notes:
- 1 Watches are not waterproof. Avoid any moisture ingress.
Water Resistance Details
II WR (Water Resistant): Means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
III Water resistance to 5 Bar (50 meters): Means the watch can withstand water pressure of the specified level and can be used during showering and brief swimming.
IV Water resistance to 10 Bar (100 meters): Means the watch can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
V Water resistance to 20 Bar (200 meters): Means the watch can be used for diving with scuba gear (except for depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Watch Care
Never attempt to open the case or remove the back cover yourself. The rubber gasket that protects the watch from water and dust must be replaced every 2-3 years. If moisture gets inside the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although watches are designed for active everyday use, they should still be worn carefully and protected from drops.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a mild neutral detergent solution. Never use volatile agents (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners, etc.).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paint, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's finish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened designs on their straps. Be careful when cleaning such straps to avoid damaging the designs.
Plastic Straps
You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is not harmful to your skin or clothing and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of plastic straps to sweat or moisture, as well as storage in high humidity, can damage, tear, or crack the strap. To ensure a long service life for plastic straps, wipe them clean of dirt and water with a soft cloth at the earliest opportunity.
Fluorescent Cases and Straps
Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other damp surface can cause the fluorescent color to discolor. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces.
Special Conditions
Strong friction of a surface with applied fluorescent paint against another surface can transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
During use in conditions of rapid temperature changes, slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass. This phenomenon is due to the laws of physics and is not a defect.
CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of these watches and accepts no claims from third parties. Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
Crown Operations
Some water-resistant models (100m, 200m) are equipped with a screw-down crown. Before pulling out the crown, first unscrew it to unlock, by turning it towards you [arrow]. Do not use excessive force when unlocking the crown. When the crown is unscrewed, the watch becomes unprotected from water. After performing the necessary operations with the crown, return it to its original position and screw it in to lock.

Setting Time and Date

- When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull out the crown to the 2nd click.
- Turn the crown to set the current time and day of the week.
- Return the crown to its original position.
Note:
- When setting the current time, pay attention to AM and PM.
- Set the minute hand 4-5 minutes ahead of the desired time, then move it back to set the exact time.
The 24-hour hand indicates the hour of the current day. It completes one full rotation in 24 hours.
Setting the Date
- Pull out the crown to the 1st click.
- Turn the crown to set the date.
- Return the crown to its original position.
Note:
- The date changes from 1 to 31. For months with fewer than 30 days, you must manually correct the date.
- To ensure the date changes at midnight, do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
Rotating Bezel Operations
Rotate the bezel to align the marker [downward triangle symbol] with the minute hand. After some time, you will be able to tell how much time has passed since you aligned the marker [downward triangle symbol] with the minute hand.
