Battery
The battery installed at the factory may discharge during shipping and storage. If you notice signs of low power (e.g., dim display), replace the battery at the nearest authorized CASIO service center or CASIO distributor.
Water Resistance
Watches are classified into ratings (I to V) according to their water resistance. Refer to the table below to determine the correct usage for your watch.
Rating | Case Marking | Splashes, Rain, etc. | Swimming, Car Washing, etc. | Diving, Snorkeling, etc. | Scuba Diving |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
I | - | No | No | No | No |
II | WATER RESISTANT | Yes | No | No | No |
III | 50 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | No | No |
IV | 100 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | No |
V | 300 M WATER RESISTANT | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
Notes:
- 1. The watch is not water-resistant. Avoid exposure to any moisture.
Explanation of Water Resistance Ratings:
- II WR (Water Resistant): Means the model is waterproof according to ISO 2281. Brief contact with water will not cause any problems.
- III 5 Bar (50 meters): The watch can withstand the specified water pressure and can be used while showering and for brief swimming.
- IV 10 Bar (100 meters): The watch can be used during normal swimming and snorkeling.
- V 20 Bar (200 meters): The watch can be used for scuba diving (excluding depths requiring a helium-oxygen mixture).
Prohibitions for all water-resistant watches:
- Pressing buttons underwater.
- Changing the time or date underwater.
- Unscrewing the crown underwater.
If the watch is exposed to saltwater, rinse it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it. Do not wear the watch on a leather strap while swimming. Avoid prolonged contact of the leather strap with water.
Care of Your Watch
- Never attempt to open the case or remove the case back yourself.
- The gasket that protects the watch from water and dust should be replaced every 2-3 years.
- If moisture enters the watch, have it checked immediately by your nearest dealer or CASIO distributor.
- Do not expose the watch to extreme temperatures.
- Although the watch is designed for active daily use, wear it carefully and avoid dropping it.
- Do not fasten the strap too tightly. You should be able to fit a finger between your wrist and the strap.
- To clean the watch and strap, use a dry soft cloth or a soft cloth dampened with a solution of mild neutral detergent. Never use volatile substances (e.g., gasoline, solvents, spray cleaners).
- When not using your watch, store it in a dry place.
- Avoid contact with gasoline, cleaning solvents, spray aerosols, adhesives, paints, etc. Chemical reactions caused by these materials can damage gaskets, the case, and the watch's polish.
- Some watch models feature silk-screened images on their straps. Clean such straps carefully to avoid damaging the designs.
- For watches with resin straps: You may notice a white powdery substance on the strap. This substance is harmless and can be easily removed by wiping with a cloth. Exposure of the resin strap to sweat or moisture, or storage in high humidity conditions, can lead to damage, tearing, or cracking. To ensure a long service life for the resin strap, wipe it clean of dirt and moisture with a soft cloth whenever possible.
- For watches with fluorescent cases and straps: Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. Prolonged contact with moisture can cause the fluorescent color to gradually fade. If any moisture gets on the watch surface, wipe it off as soon as possible. Prolonged contact with any other wet surface may cause discoloration of the fluorescent color. Ensure the fluorescent surface is dry and avoid contact with other surfaces. Strong friction between a surface with fluorescent paint and another surface may transfer the fluorescent paint to that surface.
- Slight condensation may form on the inside of the glass under conditions of rapid temperature change. This is due to physical laws and is not a defect.
- CASIO COMPUTER CO., LTD. is not responsible for any damage that may occur from the use of this watch, nor does it accept claims from third parties.
- Your watch may differ slightly from the illustrations in this manual.
CROWN OPERATIONS
Some water-resistant models (100m, 200m) are equipped with a screw-lock crown. Before pulling out the crown, first unscrew it to unlock by turning it towards you (see illustration). Do not use excessive force when unlocking the crown. When the crown is unscrewed, the watch is no longer water-resistant. After completing the necessary crown operations, return it to its original position and screw it in to lock.

SETTING THE CURRENT DAY AND TIME
- When the second hand is at the 12 o'clock position, pull the crown out to the 2nd click.
- Turn the crown to set the current time and day of the week.
- Return the crown to its original position.
Note:
- When setting the current time, pay attention to AM and PM.
- Set the minute hand 4-5 minutes past the desired time, then return it to set the exact time.
- The 24-hour hand indicates the hour of the current day. It completes one full rotation in 24 hours.
SETTING THE DATE
- Pull the crown out to the 1st click.
- Turn the crown to set the date.
- Return the crown to its original position.
Note:
- The date changes from 1 to 31. For months with fewer than 30 days, you must manually adjust the date.
- To ensure the date changes at midnight, do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM.
OPERATIONS WITH THE ROTATING BEZEL
Rotate the bezel to align the mark with the minute hand. After some time, you can tell how much time has passed since you aligned the mark with the minute hand.
