03 Instructions for Use
This section guides you through powering on, measuring, focusing, selecting modes, and setting functions.
Power on/off and measure
- Short press the Power/Measure button to power the product on.
- The eyepiece will show the entire interface after the product is powered on.
- The interface will then automatically change to the "to measure" state.
- Press again the Power/Measure button to measure.
- The eyepiece interface will show the measurement result. Long press the Measure button to measure the real-time distance.
- If the meter is left idle for 10 seconds or longer, it will power off automatically.
Focus by turning the knob
- Focus by turning the knob.
- Turn the knob according to what is shown in the viewfinder to find the appropriate definition.
Select the mode
Short press the Mode switch/set button to switch between four modes:
- 1 Straight-line distance mode: Measure the straight-line distance between the user and the target of measurement.
- 2 Flagpole mode: Lock and measure the distance to the nearest target.
- 3 Gold compensation flagpole mode: Lock and measure the golf trajectory compensation distance.
- 4 Gold compensation measurement mode: Measure the golf trajectory compensation distance.
Set functions
- Long press the Mode/set button for 2 seconds to enter the setting mode. Short press the Mode/set button to switch between the two settings.
- Short press the Power/measure button in the setting mode to change the unit or turn on/off the vibrate mode.
- Set the unit: Switch between m (meter) and Y (yard).
- Set the vibrate mode: Turn on or off the vibrate mode.
Note:
- When the vibrate mode is turned on, the meter vibrates once when measuring the distance, and vibrates twice when locking the flagpole.
- When the vibrate mode is turned off, the meter will not vibrate when measuring the distance, and will still vibrate twice when locking the flagpole.
Measure the straight-line distance
Measure the distance, height, and angle of the target.
- 1. Single measurement: Short press the Power/measure button to measure the distance once.
- 2. Continuous measurement: Long press the Power/measure button to scan the distance and show instantly the distance of the scanned target.
Diagram Description: A person is aiming the rangefinder at a target. Lines indicate distances: 209 yards to a point, 135 yards to a tree, and an angle of 45 degrees. The display shows "209.0 Y" and "+45.0/135.0 Y".
Flagpole lock-in mode
When measuring overlapped targets, long press the Measure button to show the distance to the nearest target. For example, if you cannot tell for sure if the flag or the trees behind it is the target of distance measurement, the lock function can lock the nearest target, i.e., the flag, for distance measurement.
- Long press the Power/measure button to power the product on and measure.
- Aim at the flagpole.
- The product will vibrate twice after completing the measurement.
Diagram Description: The rangefinder is aimed at a golf flag. The display shows "58.5 Y" and "+ 2.5/3.3 Y".
Golf compensation flagpole mode
Long press the Power/measure button to show the golf flagpole compensation distance and the actual distance and height.
Diagram Description (Measure uphill): A golfer is on a slope. The direct distance to the flag is 128.0 yards. The uphill distance is 136.0 yards. The horizontal distance is 28 yards. The display shows "136.0 Y" and "+280/1280 Y".
Diagram Description (Measure downhill): A golfer is on a slope. The direct distance to the flag is 160 yards. The downhill distance is 130 yards. The horizontal distance is 28 yards. The display shows "130.0 Y" and "-280/1600 Y".
Golf compensation measurement mode
Long press the Power/measure button to show the golf measurement compensation distance and the actual distance and height.
Diagram Description (Measure uphill): Similar to Golf compensation flagpole mode, showing uphill measurement with a display of "136.0 Y" and "+280/128.0 Y".
Diagram Description (Measure downhill): Similar to Golf compensation flagpole mode, showing downhill measurement with a display of "130.0 Y" and "-280/1600 Y".
Note: When the product is in golf flagpole/measurement mode, the lamp under the laser receiving object glass will be on.
04 Safety Regulations and Warnings
Safety warning
The golf distance meter emits an invisible infrared pulse laser that does no harm to eyes. It is reflected back from the target into the optical receiver. By measuring the time it takes for the laser pulse to travel between the distance meter and the target, the system calculates the distance in real time. The product's maximum range of measurement depends on the target's reflectivity, color, surface finish, size, and actual shape.
The following factors ensure the optimal range and precision of measurement:
- Clear weather
- Targets with shiny appearance
- Zero impurities in the air
- Targets with highly reflective surfaces
The following factors may affect optimal range and precision of measurement:
- Black targets
- Snowy, rainy, or foggy weather
- Targets with obviously diffuse surfaces
- Small or micro targets
- Targets to be measured through glass
- Moving targets
- Strong light interference/sharp sunlight
Safety Regulations
Warning!
- Before using the product for the first time, please carefully read the safety regulations and instructions for use. Failure to follow these instructions may cause product damage, affect measurement precision, or result in personal injury.
- Do not disassemble or repair the product yourself. Illegal modification or alteration of the laser emitter is strictly prohibited. Keep the product out of reach of children and prevent use by unauthorized persons.
- Do not expose your own or other people's eyes or body parts to the laser emitter. Do not expose highly reflective surfaces to the laser emitter.
- The electromagnetic radiation may interfere with other equipment. Do not use near aircraft or medical equipment, or in inflammable or explosive environments.
- Used batteries must not be discarded with household garbage. Dispose of used batteries and obsolete products according to relevant national or local laws and regulations.
In case of product quality problems or questions about use, please contact local distributors or Shanghai Qiwai Culture Technology Co., Ltd. for immediate assistance.
