- Drill with appropriate drill bits
- Level [level icon]
- Screwdriver (Phillips head) [screwdriver icon]
- Wrench or socket set [wrench icon]
- Pencil
Installation Steps
- Locate Wall Studs: Use a stud finder to locate at least two wall studs where you intend to mount the TV. Mark the center of the studs.
- Position Wall Plate: Hold the wall plate (A) against the wall at the desired height, aligning it with the marked stud centers. Use a level to ensure the plate is perfectly horizontal. Mark the drilling points through the holes in the wall plate.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes into the marked stud locations using a drill bit appropriate for the lag bolts. The pilot hole size should be slightly smaller than the lag bolt diameter.
- Attach Wall Plate: Secure the wall plate (A) to the wall using the provided lag bolts and washers. Tighten firmly with a wrench or socket set. Ensure the plate is flush against the wall and does not move. [wrench icon]
- Attach TV Brackets: Identify the correct screws, washers, and spacers (if needed) from the hardware pack (C) that fit your TV's VESA mounting holes. Attach the two TV brackets (B) to the back of your TV using a screwdriver. Ensure the brackets are oriented correctly (usually with the arm extending upwards). [screwdriver icon]
- Mount TV to Wall Plate: With assistance from another person, carefully lift the TV and hook the attached TV brackets onto the wall plate. Ensure the brackets engage securely with the plate. [person icon] [person icon]
- Secure TV: Once the TV is hung on the wall plate, secure it in place using the provided safety screws or locking mechanism, as indicated in the original diagrams. This prevents the TV from accidentally dislodging.
- Final Check: Gently test the stability of the mounted TV to ensure it is secure.
Maintenance
Periodically check the mount and all hardware to ensure they remain tight and secure. Clean the mount with a soft, dry cloth.
