Installation Steps
Follow these steps carefully to install your TV wall mount.
- Prepare the Wall: Determine your wall type (wood stud or concrete/brick). If mounting to wood studs, locate them using a stud finder and mark the desired mounting points. Ensure the location allows for proper TV placement and movement.
- Mount the Wall Plate: Position the wall plate (labeled '18' in diagrams) against the wall, ensuring it is level. For wood studs, drill pilot holes using a 5/16" (8 mm) drill bit and secure the plate with appropriate lag bolts (e.g., part 'A' or 'C' from delivery content, depending on wall type). For concrete/brick, use suitable anchors and drill bits (e.g., 3/16" or 4mm drill bit for anchors). Ensure the wall plate is firmly attached.
- Attach the Articulating Arm: Connect the main articulating arm assembly to the mounted wall plate. Use the provided hardware (e.g., parts 'IT', 'HT', 'J', 'L', 'M', 'OS' might be involved in this connection, refer to specific diagrams for exact hardware). Ensure all connections are snug but do not over-tighten.
- Attach Brackets to TV: Identify the correct screws (M4, M6, M8) and spacers (e.g., 'OS', 'S', 'P', 'BF') from the delivery content that match your TV's VESA pattern and back panel design (flat or curved). Attach the two TV mounting brackets (labeled '19' in diagrams) to the back of your television. Ensure screws are the correct length and do not bottom out or strip the TV's threaded inserts.
- Mount TV to Wall Plate: With the TV brackets attached, carefully lift the television. Align the brackets on the TV with the corresponding arms on the wall plate. Slide the TV onto the wall plate until it securely locks into place. Ensure the HDMI port remains accessible.
- Final Checks: Gently test the stability of the mounted TV. Check that the articulating arm moves smoothly through its intended range. Connect your HDMI and other cables.
