Battery Warnings and Safety
Battery Leakage Warning
Leakage of battery ingredients or combustion of product components can cause personal injury and damage to the controller. Avoid contact with skin. If contact occurs, wash thoroughly with soap and water. If battery liquid contacts eyes, flush immediately with water and seek medical attention.
General Battery Warning
Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery yourself, as this may damage the battery, leading to overheating, fire, or injury. The Nickel-metal hydride battery should be serviced or recycled by PowerA or an authorized provider. Dispose of batteries separately from household waste according to local environmental laws and guidelines.
Do not expose the product with rechargeable batteries to very high temperatures (e.g., direct sunlight, hot vehicles). This can cause overheating, fire, performance degradation, or shortened service life.
Avoid using the product in locations with high static electricity, as this could damage internal safety devices.
If the battery emits an odor, generates heat, or appears abnormal during use, recharging, or storage, immediately remove it from the charger and place it in a sealed container (e.g., a metal box).
Discarded batteries may cause fire; do not heat controllers or throw them into fire.
