Installation
Indoor Monitor Installation
Note:
- Keep away from devices with strong radiation (TV, DVR, etc.).
- Do not disassemble privately to avoid electric shock.
- Avoid dropping, shaking, or bumping the device.
- Choose the best installation location.
- Turn off power before installation.
- Maintain a distance of over 30 cm from AC power sources to avoid interference.
- Keep away from water, magnetic fields, and chemicals.
Steps:
- Drill holes and insert anchors if necessary.
- Attach the mounting bracket to the wall.
- Connect the cables to the monitor.
- Mount the monitor onto the bracket.
Outdoor Doorbell Installation
Note:
- Do not expose the camera to direct sunlight or high temperatures.
- Avoid environments with high humidity, dust, or corrosive chemicals.
- Select a position at user's eye level.
- Avoid installing near strong radiation sources like AC motors or elevators.
- Maintenance should be performed by qualified technicians.
- Avoid strong impacts or collisions.
- Turn off power before installation.
- Maintain a distance of over 30 cm from AC power sources to avoid interference.
- Keep away from water and magnetic fields.
Steps:
- Drill a hole in the wall and insert the rubber plug.
- Remove the nameplate cover.
- Attach the doorbell to the rain cover, connect the cable to the doorbell.
- Install the rain cover onto the wall.
- Insert the nameplate.
- Secure the doorbell with screws.
System Connection Diagram
The system supports various configurations:
- 1 Monitor + 1 Doorbell: Connect the monitor to the doorbell using BUS1/BUS2 terminals. Power is supplied via a 24V external switching power adapter.
- 2 Monitors + 1 Doorbell: Similar connection, with two monitors linked to the doorbell.
- 1 Monitor + 2 Doorbells: Connect both doorbells to the single monitor.
- Multiple Monitors + 1 Doorbell (up to 6 monitors): A master monitor can connect to up to 5 slave monitors and one doorbell.
Wiring Notes:
- Use standard 2-conductor ordinary STP cables.
- Maximum transmission distance: ≤100m (with ≥0.5mm² cable) or ≤200m (with ≥0.5mm² cable).
- CAT5 or CAT6 network cables can also be used (one pair of twisted pairs).
- Ensure the voltage supplied to the doorbell reaches 11V during unlocking.
Visitor Call
Standby Mode
When a visitor presses the call button on the doorbell:
- A continuous ringing is heard both indoors and outdoors.
- The visitor's image is automatically displayed on the monitor screen.
- Press the 'Talk' button on the indoor monitor to initiate conversation.
- Press the 'Unlock' button to release the lock.
- Press the 'Hang Up' button to end the call.
Note: For multi-monitor systems, ensure correct room ID settings to avoid conflicts.
Call Scenarios
- Visitor calls Doorbell 1: Monitor 1 (House ID 1, Camera ID 1) receives the call.
- Visitor calls Doorbell 2: Monitor 2 (House ID 2, Camera ID 1) receives the call.
WARNING: If both call buttons are pressed simultaneously, the first one pressed takes priority. If the call button is pressed again after the monitor enters standby, there is no indication on the second doorbell.
WARNING: The indoor unit enters standby mode after 60 seconds of inactivity.
Monitor Functions
Monitoring
Tap the 'Monitor' icon to view live feeds from connected doorbells. You can manually record video or capture snapshots.
- Manual Recording: Tap the record icon ▶️ to start/stop recording.
- Snapshot: Tap the camera icon ? to capture a still image.
Recorded files are saved to the SD card or internal memory.
Main Menu
Tap the screen in standby mode to access the main menu. The monitor will return to standby after 60 seconds of inactivity.
Work Modes
The system offers three work modes:
- At Home: Standard operation, calls ring both doorbell and monitor.
- Away from Home: Set recording mode to 'Video'. An SD card is required for video recording.
- Do Not Disturb: All units remain silent when a visitor calls.
System Menu
System Information
Access the 'System' menu to view software version, SD card space, and perform actions like rebooting, resetting, or formatting the SD card.
Network Settings
Connect to WiFi by selecting the network and entering the password. Supports 2.4GHz WiFi only.
Device Settings
Configure settings for the monitor and doorbells, including:
- Language: Select the display language.
- Date & Time: Set the system date and time.
- Digital Frame: Customize photo slideshow settings.
- Device Settings: Adjust parameters for monitors and doorbells (e.g., Camera ID, Unlock Time, Recording Mode).
Call Menu
Facilitates communication between indoor monitors.
File Menu
View recorded files (messages, snapshots, videos). Files can be deleted individually or all at once.
Volume Menu
Adjust ringtone, ring volume, and call volume for doorbell 1 and 2.
App Integration
Connecting to the App
- Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
- Connect the monitor to your WiFi network (2.4GHz).
- Connect your phone to the same WiFi network.
- Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to add the device.
Note: Ensure your router is 2.4GHz compatible, has DHCP enabled, and uses a secure password without special characters.
Sharing the Device
You can share access with up to 10 users via the app's Home Management feature. Shared accounts may have unlock functionality.
Disconnecting the Device
To disconnect the device from the app, navigate to the Network menu and select 'Disconnect'. The device will restart automatically.
RFID Card Operation
The system supports two types of locks (Lock+/Lock- and NO/NC):
- For Lock+/Lock- ports: Swipe the RFID card for approximately 1 second. A short beep indicates the lock is released.
- For NO/NC ports: Swipe the RFID card for approximately 3 seconds. A longer beep indicates the lock is released.
Leave a Message
This feature allows visitors to leave voice messages. Recording requires an SD card.
Add/Delete RFID Cards
Access the 'Access Cards' management page within the 'Device -> Doorbell' menu to add or delete RFID cards.
Doorbell Settings
Configure doorbell parameters such as unlock time, human detection sensitivity, and recording mode.
