Wiring Connection Notes
Important: Power supplies for electric locks, CCTV cameras, and extension cables are not included and must be purchased separately.
The indoor monitor uses an external DC 12V switching power supply. If not using the external supply, a 2-pin cable and DIN rail power supply can be used to extend the power cable to your home's power center. For distances over 3m, a thicker power cable and a higher amperage power supply are recommended to ensure sufficient power for conversation and unlocking.
Wiring for Interference Avoidance:
- Connect wiring as shown in the diagram, paying attention to the silk printing on the PCB to avoid incorrect connections.
- Use 4-core ordinary unshielded and shielded wiring cables.
- Effective Distance:
- Up to 30m with 4x0.4mm² cable.
- Up to 60m with 4x0.65mm² cable.
- For distances over 60m, use thicker copper core cables, shielded cables, or a combination of 3-core unshielded wire and 75-3 video wire.
- When using shielded wiring, connect the shield terminal to GND.
Network Cable Usage (CAT5/CAT6): Not recommended due to limited effective distance (up to 20m for unshielded, 40m for shielded). CAT5/CAT6 cables consist of 4 twisted pairs (8 wires); only one pair is used per cable.
Cable Length Consideration: If the distance between the outdoor doorbell and indoor monitor is excessive (over 50-60m), ensure the input voltage to the outdoor doorbell reaches 11.7V when unlocking.
System Configuration:
- The intercom kit supports up to 4 monitors; 3 are recommended. Long cables may result in black and white images on the monitor.

Installation Process of Outdoor Units
Model: MZ-VDP-NA200 Surface Mount:
Installation involves attaching the bracket using screw anchors and wall screws, then mounting the doorbell unit.
Connecting to Electronic Control Lock
To connect an electronic control lock, a power supply controller for the lock and the electronic lock itself are required. Various types of locks (electronic, electric mortise, magnetic, cathode) can be connected. Follow the provided diagrams for correct wiring. Ensure the power supply voltage matches the lock's requirements (e.g., 12V for a 12V lock).
Lock Types:
- NO Lock (Normally Open): Stays open when power is off, opens when unlock button is pressed.
- NC Lock (Normally Closed): Stays closed when power is off, closes when power is on and opens after pressing unlock.
For all lock connections, connect the GND and PUSH ports of the power supply controller to the 2-pin cable connected to the outdoor doorbell's unlock ports. A push switch can also be installed.
Note on Door Lock Connection
Electric locks are typically NC (Normally Closed) or NO (Normally Open) types, requiring different wiring. NC locks require an additional power supply control.
Important Notes:
- The doorbell or monitor does not supply power to the lock.
- The doorbell supports locks up to 30V.
- Ensure the input voltage from the monitor to the outdoor doorbell reaches 11.7V during unlocking.
