Installation Guide
Installing the Indoor Monitor
- Mount the monitor at a height of 150-160cm from the floor.
- Ensure the location is away from strong radiation sources (TV, DVR, etc.).
- Do not disassemble the unit.
- Choose an optimal installation position.
- Turn off power before installation.
- Maintain a distance of over 30cm from the AC power supply to avoid interference.
- Keep the unit away from water, magnetic fields, and chemicals.
Installing the Outdoor Station (Doorbell Camera)
- Drill a hole in the wall and insert the rubber plug.
- Install the rain cover on the wall.
- Attach the outdoor station to the rain cover.
- Secure the outdoor station with a screw.
- Remove the nameplate cover.
- Insert the nameplate paper.
- Install the nameplate cover.
- Note: Do not expose the outdoor station to direct sunlight or harsh environmental conditions (high temperature, humidity, dust, corrosive chemicals).
- Select an appropriate height for the camera to be at eye level.
- Avoid installing near strong radiation sources like AC motors or elevators.
- Turn off power before installation.
- Maintain a distance of over 30cm from the AC power supply to avoid interference.
- Keep away from water and magnetic fields.

Wiring Instructions
Note: Power supplies for electric locks, cameras, and extension cables are not included.
The system supports both NO (Normally Open) and NC (Normally Closed) locks.
- NO Lock: Normally open contact is open, keeping the lock closed. Pressing the unlock button closes the contact, unlocking the door.
- NC Lock: Normally open contact is closed, keeping the lock open. Pressing the unlock button opens the contact, unlocking the door.
Important: Disconnect the power supply before installation.
Wiring Requirements:
- Use standard non-STP 2-conductor cables.
- Effective Transmission Distance:
- Up to 100m (328 ft) with 0.5mm² cable.
- Up to 200m (656 ft) with >0.5mm² cable.
- CAT5 or CAT6 network cables can also be used (4 pairs/8 wires). Use one pair (2 wires): one for DC+, one for GND. Effective distance up to 100m (328 ft).
- The doorbell supports locks up to 30V.
- Ensure the voltage supplied to the outdoor station reaches 11V during unlocking.

System Connection Diagrams
Various system configurations are supported:
- 1 Family with 1-button doorbell (1 Monitor + 1 Outdoor Station)
- 1 Family with 2-button doorbell (1 Monitor + 2 Outdoor Stations)
- 2 Families with 2-button doorbell (2 Monitors + 1 Outdoor Station)
- Multiple Monitors + 1 Outdoor Station (up to 6 monitors in one family)
Note: Ensure correct room ID settings for multi-family or multi-monitor setups to avoid conflicts.
Visitor Call Process:
- Visitor presses the doorbell button.
- Indoor monitor rings and displays the visitor's image.
- Press the 'Talk' button on the indoor monitor to start communication.
- Press the 'Unlock' button to open the door.
- Press the 'Hang Up' button to end the call.
Standby Mode: The monitor enters standby mode after 60 seconds of inactivity.
Important Notes:
- If multiple outdoor stations are pressed simultaneously, the system prioritizes the first one pressed.
- The indoor unit automatically enters standby mode if not used for 60 seconds.
Monitor Features
Monitoring Mode
- Standby Mode: Displays date, time, and weather information. The screen turns black after 60 seconds to protect the LCD.
- Monitoring: Touch the 'Monitor' icon to view live feed.
- Live View: Touch the doorbell icon to see the visitor's image. The surveillance time is 60 seconds.
- Talk: Touch the 'Talk' icon to initiate a conversation.
- Unlock: Touch the 'Unlock' icon to release the connected lock (supports NO/NC ports).
- Hang Up: Touch the 'Hang Up' icon to end the call.
- Recording: In 'Video' mode, the entire process is recorded. In 'Image' mode, a snapshot is taken. Manual recording/snapshot is also available.
Main Menu
Access the main menu by touching the screen in standby mode. The menu includes settings for System, Volume, Files, Intercom, and more.
System Menu: Displays software version, SD card space, and options for restart, reset, upgrade, and formatting the SD card.
Volume Menu: Adjust ringtone, ringtone duration, and call volume.
Files Menu: View recorded messages (answered, unanswered, motion detection, visitor messages). Files include images (JPG) and videos (MP4).
Intercom Menu: Facilitates communication between indoor monitors.
Note: The monitor supports up to 128GB SD cards (Class 10 recommended). Format the SD card if prompted.

Operating Modes
- At Home: Standard mode; doorbell and monitor ring when a visitor calls.
- Leaving Home: Set outdoor units to 'Video' recording mode. An SD card is required.
- Rest: Do Not Disturb mode; doorbell and monitor remain silent when a visitor calls.
Advanced Features
Unlock Function
The 'Unlock' icon on the monitor controls the lock connected to the monitor (not the outdoor station). Supports both NO/NC lock modes.
Human Detection Settings
Adjustable settings include:
- Human detection sensitivity (Low, Medium, High).
- Alarm interval (10s, 30s, 60s, or 0s for continuous recording).
- Recording mode (Image or Video).
- Human detection zone display.
RFID Badge Management
Add and delete RFID badges via the 'Device -> Doorbell -> Access Cards' menu.
RFID Badge Operation
- For Lock+/Lock- ports: Swipe RFID badge for approx. 1 second. A 'Di' sound indicates the lock is open.
- For NO/NC ports: Swipe RFID badge for approx. 3 seconds. A 'Du' sound indicates the lock is open.
Network Connection and App Integration
Network Menu
Download the 'Smart Life' or 'Tuya Smart' app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
Connect the indoor monitor to your WiFi network (2.4GHz band only). Enter the WiFi password to connect.
Adding Devices to the App
- Ensure the monitor is connected to WiFi.
- Connect your mobile phone to the same WiFi network.
- Open the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app and add the device.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to search for and add the monitor.
Network Notes:
- The monitor only supports the 2.4GHz WiFi band. Ensure your router has a unique SSID for the 2.4GHz band.
- The monitor operates on 802.11b/g/n networks.
- Keep the monitor and WiFi router within 15 meters (approx. 49 feet).
- Ensure the router's DHCP function is enabled.
- Verify the WiFi password is correct (no special characters recommended).
- Ensure the WiFi router is connected to the internet.
Sharing Devices via Home Management
Supports up to 10 mobile phones connected simultaneously. Shared accounts may have unlocking functions.
Steps: Create a home, add members, and assign devices to the home.
Unlinking Devices
To unlink a device from the app, navigate to the 'Network' menu and select the 'Unlink' option. The device will be removed from the app, and the monitor will restart.
Live View Icons
The live view interface provides several icons for control:
- Full Screen: Expands the view to full screen.
- Snapshot: Takes a still image.
- SD Card Recording: Plays back recorded video from the SD card.
- Gallery: Accesses stored images and videos.
- Unlock: Releases the connected lock.
- Modify: Accesses settings for the live view.
- Mute: Mutes/unmutes audio.
- Start/Stop Video Recording: Manually start or stop video recording.
- Respond to Call: Answers an incoming call.
- Motion Detection: Enables/disables motion detection.
- Theme Color: Changes the theme color.
