Valberg B3 Vacuum Cleaner Safety and Warranty Information

This document provides essential safety instructions, handling guidelines, and warranty details for the Valberg B3 vacuum cleaner.

General Safety Warnings

  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8+ and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • WARNING: Risk of entrapment in the hand-held accessory with rotating parts.
  • CAUTION: Hoses with electrical connections must not be immersed in water for cleaning and should be checked regularly and must not be used if damaged.
  • CAUTION: Hoses with electrical connections must not be used to suck up water.
  • Class III appliances must only be used with the power supply unit provided with the appliance and supplied at safety extra low voltage corresponding to the marking on the appliance.
  • For battery recharging, use only the detachable supply unit provided with this appliance.
  • For vacuum cleaners incorporating rotating brushes or similar devices, and water suction cleaning appliances, the plug must be removed from the socket-outlet before cleaning or maintaining the appliance.
  • Symbols on the appliance indicate: Motorized cleaning head for water suction cleaning ?, Detachable supply unit ?, Read the instruction manual ?.
  • For appliances powered by rechargeable batteries, refer to the user manual for information regarding charging.
  • For appliances incorporating and powered by rechargeable batteries intended to be replaced by the user, refer to the user manual for the battery type reference, observe battery orientation regarding polarity, and refer to the user manual for replacement methods.
  • Used batteries must not be disposed of in household rubbish; take them to a designated disposal/collection site.
  • WARNING: Do not use non-rechargeable batteries!
  • If a battery leaks, remove it with a cloth from the battery compartment. Dispose of battery according to regulations. If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately after contact with the acid and wash with plenty of clean water. Visit a physician.
  • For appliances with batteries containing materials hazardous to the environment, refer to the user manual for battery removal, remove the battery before scrapping the appliance, disconnect the appliance from the supply mains when removing the battery, and dispose of the battery safely.
  • For automatic battery-operated cleaners, refer to the user manual for cautionary instructions for room preparation and constant care.
  • For appliances with non-user-replaceable batteries, these are only replaceable by skilled persons.
  • For appliances with non-replaceable batteries, these batteries cannot be replaced.
  • For appliances equipped with battery chargers, refer to the user manual for the types, number of cells, and rated capacity of batteries that can be charged.
  • WARNING: Do not recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
  • Remove all packaging materials before using the appliance. Keep packaging materials away from children as they pose a risk of swallowing and suffocation.
  • Ensure the rated voltage shown on the rating label corresponds with the voltage of your home power supply.
  • Do not open the housing under any circumstances. Do not insert fingers or foreign objects in any opening of the appliance and do not obstruct the air vents.
  • Do not expose the appliance to heat or place it near heat sources such as stoves or heating appliances.
  • WARNING - RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK: Do not immerse the appliance and its plug in water or other liquids. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
  • For appliances intended for use at altitudes exceeding 2000m, refer to the user manual for information about the maximum altitude of use.
  • Appliances incorporating a functional earth connection have this connection for functional purposes only.
  • For appliances marked with different rated voltages or frequencies, follow the instructions in the manual to adjust the appliance for operation at the required rated voltage or frequency.

Additional Warnings for Appliances Equipped with Remote Controls

  • Danger of explosion: Battery may not be charged, reactivated by other means, disassembled, thrown into fire, or short-circuited.
  • Do not expose battery to extreme temperatures, such as direct sunlight or fire. Do not place the remote control on any heat source. Leaking battery acid may cause harm.
  • If the battery should leak, remove it with a cloth from the battery compartment. Dispose of battery according to regulations. If battery acid has leaked, avoid contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes. Rinse affected areas immediately after contact with the acid and wash with plenty of clean water. Visit a physician.
  • Caution: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace battery only with the same or equivalent type.
  • Always insert battery correctly with regard to the polarities (+ and -) marked on the battery and the battery compartment.
  • Do not allow children to replace the battery without adult supervision.
  • Keep batteries out of reach of children and pets.
  • Exhausted batteries should be immediately removed from the remote control and properly disposed of.
  • Remove the battery if you will not be using the appliance for an extended period of time.
  • Batteries shall be stored in well-ventilated, dry, and cool conditions.
  • Chemical burn hazard: Do not ingest the battery. If the battery is swallowed, it can cause severe internal burns in just 2 hours and can lead to death. If you think batteries might have been swallowed or placed inside any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • If the battery compartment cover does not close securely, stop using the remote control and keep it away from children.

Disposal of Your Old Appliance

Separate Collection of Electrical and Electronic Waste:

At the end of its useful life, this product must not be disposed of or recycled with other household waste. The product and its packaging should be collected and recycled separately from other waste.

What to do with my waste?

  • Please observe the rules to reduce the environmental impact of your purchase.
  • You are legally responsible for sorting and recycling the product (including any accessories), its manual(s), and packaging materials.
  • An electrical or electronic appliance should not be sorted or recycled with other household waste.
  • Never leave used products and packaging materials within reach of children as they are dangerous.
  • Please keep the manual(s) for the entire service life of the appliance and attach it to the appliance when it is passed on to a third party.

Batteries should be replaced in accordance with the relevant disposal regulations. Please take used batteries to a designated collection point, where they will be treated in an environmentally friendly manner.

Condition of Warranty

This product is guaranteed for a period of 2 years starting from the date of purchase*, against any failure resulting from a manufacturing or material defect. This warranty does not cover defects or damage resulting from improper installation, incorrect use, or abnormal wear of the product.
