3.2 Maintenance and Self-inspection
Vehicle Maintenance And Self-check:
- Bicycles are adjusted before leaving the factory. Contact the manufacturer or supplier if you have doubts.
- Check tire pressure frequently.
- Regularly check and adjust main parts like handlebars, seatposts, axles, chain, and wheels to ensure smooth transmission and tighten loose nuts/screws.
- Lubricate parts like axle bearings, pedal bearings every six months with 3# calcium-based lubricant. Add 30# oil to the chain, gearshift cable, and footrests every two months.
- If parts like brake pads, chains, or tires are damaged, find a local repair point for replacement with identical parts.
Motor Maintenance:
- Do not open the motor base or end cover after sealing.
- Keep the motor clean and free of foreign objects, corrosive liquids, and gases. Do not knock or bake the motor shell.
- The motor has an IPX5 waterproof rating. Do not use a water gun or submerge the motor in water. Water reaching the motor hub can cause short circuits.
Battery Maintenance:
- Lithium batteries have high capacity and long life. Avoid charging only when the power is low. Do not store for long periods; charge frequently.
- For initial charging, charge for 6-8 hours, not exceeding 12 hours.
- If storing for long periods, charge the battery for over two hours per month. Do not store at a low charge state, as this can cause irreversible damage.
Danger: Do not dismantle the old battery without permission. Recycle it according to local regulations or at a designated maintenance point.
Warning: Keep batteries away from open flames, high temperatures, and fire. Do not expose to direct sunlight in hot weather.
