2.2 How to Remove the Battery
Step 1: Unlock the battery compartment using the key.
Step 2: Slide the battery out of the frame.
2.3 How to Charge
Charging Methods:
- Charge the battery directly on the frame.
- Remove the battery for charging (refer to section 2.2).
Notes:
The battery has a small charge from the factory; charge it fully before first use. Use only the original charger. Charging time is approximately 5-8 hours. The charger indicator is red when charging and green when fully charged. Warning: Do not charge if the charger or power supply is wet. Do not charge outdoors to avoid electrical hazards. If you detect an unusual odor or excessive heat, stop charging immediately and contact customer service.
2.4 Quick Operation
Pre-Ride Checks: Ensure all components are installed correctly, fasteners are tight, and the battery is charged. Wear appropriate protective gear.
Step 1: Adjust Handlebar and Saddle: Adjust for rider comfort, ensuring quick releases and screws are tight. The white safety line on the seatpost should not be visible.
Step 2: Turn On Lights: Press the power button for 1 second to turn on the bike. Press and hold the '+' button to turn on the lights. Adjust the headlight to illuminate about 10 meters ahead.
Step 3: Adjust Speed (PAS Levels): Use the '+' and '-' buttons to select one of the 5 assistance levels. Level 1 is for flat terrain; higher levels are for inclines. PAS level 0 means no electric assistance, functioning as a regular bike.
Step 4: Start Riding: Wear a helmet. Start slowly to maintain control.
Step 5: Braking Instructions: The left lever controls the front brake, and the right lever controls the rear brake. Apply the rear brake first, then the front brake for gradual stopping. Warning: Do not brake sharply with the front brake alone, as this can cause loss of balance. Maximum load capacity is 120 kg.
2.5 Instrument Parameters
Access settings by pressing and holding '+' and '-' buttons for over 2 seconds.
Navigation: Use '+' or '-' to select parameters, press 'OK' (or similar button) to enter/adjust, press 'OK' again to confirm.
Parameter Descriptions:
- ODO Reset: Clear total mileage.
- Toggle Unit: Switch between units (e.g., km/miles).
- Brightness: Adjust screen brightness.
- Password: Set a startup password for access.
- AL Sensitivity: Adjust ambient light sensor for automatic headlight control.
To Exit: Press '+' or '-' to select 'BACK', then press 'OK'.
3. Maintenance and Care
3.1 Precautions for Use
General Safety: Do not park in emergency exits. Charge and store away from flammable materials. Avoid water ingress into electrical parts. Do not expose to prolonged sun or rain. Do not modify the bike privately. Avoid touching electrified parts with wet hands. Do not disassemble electrical components. Clean with mild detergent and water.
Riding Safety: Obey traffic laws. Do not allow riders under 16. Use designated bike lanes. Wear a helmet. Allow extra braking distance in wet conditions. Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or with one hand. Wear bright, non-restrictive clothing and appropriate shoes.
On-Road Precautions: Follow traffic rules. Wear safety gear. Accelerate slowly. Increase braking distance in rain/snow. Lower assist level when stopping.
3.2 Inspection and Maintenance
Bike Inspection: Regularly check tire pressure. Inspect handlebars, seatpost, saddle, axles, wheels, chain, and gears for proper function and tightness. Lubricate moving parts (bearings, chain, cables) periodically with appropriate lubricants.
Motor Maintenance: Keep the motor clean and dry. Do not open the motor casing. Avoid high-pressure water jets or submersion.
3.3 Battery Maintenance
The lithium battery has a long lifespan; charge it regularly, do not let it run completely flat. Charge fully for the first use (6-8 hours, max 12 hours). For long-term storage, charge monthly. Danger: Do not disassemble used batteries; recycle them properly. Warning: Keep the battery away from heat sources and open flames; do not expose to direct sunlight in hot weather.
