Instructions and Guarantee
Introduction
The Salter Halo Scale features a large, animated display for accurate ingredient measurement and a hygienic, easy-to-clean stainless steel platform. It's a stylish addition to your kitchen.
Operation
Batteries
Insert 3 x AAA batteries, observing the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the battery compartment. Remove the isolator tab before first use.
To Switch On
- Place a bowl on the scale before switching on.
- Press and release the [power-button] button.
- The display will show '88888'.
- Wait until the display shows '0'.
To Measure Solids
To switch between units, press the kg/lb button to scroll through until the desired unit is reached. Units available: g (grammes), oz (ounces), lb (pounds).
To Measure Liquids
To switch between units, press the ml/fl.oz button to scroll through until the desired unit is reached. The Aquatronic™ liquid measure feature is suitable for all water-based liquids, including wine, milk, stock, and cream. For recipes using litres or pints:
- 1 litre = 1000 ml
- 1 pint = 20 fl.oz
- 1/2 pint = 10 fl.oz
- 1/4 pint = 5 fl.oz
ml = millilitres, fl.oz = fluid ounces.
To Add & Weigh
To weigh several different ingredients in one bowl, lightly tap the zero button and wait for the display to reset to zero between each ingredient.
Auto Switch Off
The scale will automatically switch off if the display shows '0' for 1 minute or shows the same weight reading for 3 minutes.
Manual Switch Off
To maximise battery life, press the [power-button] button.
Warning Indicators
- Lo: Replace battery.
- Err: Weight overload
- To reset: Lightly tap zero.
Cleaning & Care
- If the scale is not to be used for a long period, remove the battery. Always remove flat batteries immediately.
- Clean the scale with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT immerse the scale in water or use chemical/abrasive cleaning agents.
- All plastic parts should be cleaned immediately after contact with fats, spices, vinegar, and strongly flavoured/coloured foods. Avoid contact with acids such as citrus juices.
Environmental Disposal
WEEE EXPLANATION: ♻️ This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed of with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for environmental safe recycling.

FKA Brands Ltd guarantees this product from defect in material and workmanship for a period of 15 years from the date of purchase, except as noted below.
This guarantee does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; attachment of any unauthorised accessory; alteration to the product; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of FKA Brands Ltd.
This guarantee is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the UK / EU.
FKA Brands Ltd shall not be responsible for any type of incidental, consequential or special damages.
To obtain guarantee service on your product, return the product post-paid to your local service centre along with your dated sales receipt (as proof of purchase). Upon receipt, FKA Brands Ltd will repair or replace, as appropriate, your product and return it to you, post-paid. Guarantee is solely through Salter Service Centre. Service of this product by anyone other than the Salter Service Centre voids the guarantee.

15 Year Limited Warranty (Australia & New Zealand)
This warranty applies to Australia & New Zealand. It provides guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (New Zealand). It covers defects in manufacture and workmanship for 15 years (3 months for commercial use). Exclusions include damage from misuse, accident, unauthorized accessories, alterations, improper installation, or unauthorized repairs. FKA Brands Ltd is not liable for incidental, consequential, or special damages. To claim, return the product to the Supplier with proof of purchase. Return expenses are the customer's responsibility.

Electromagnetic Compatibility
This product is intended for domestic use. It is a sensitive electronic instrument and may be temporarily affected by Radio Transmitting Devices used nearby (e.g., mobile phones, walkie-talkies, CB radios, radio model controllers, some microwave ovens). Extreme electrostatic interference may cause temporary malfunction. If this occurs, remove and re-install the battery to restore normal function. If the problem persists, contact your local agent.
