Salter Electronic Kitchen Scales

Before First Use

1 x CR2032 battery required. Remove the battery isolator tab (if present) and insert the battery ensuring the +/- terminals are correctly oriented.

Switching On

Place a bowl on the scale before switching it on. Press and release the ON/ZERO/OFF button. The display will show '88888' and then settle to '0'.

Converting Weight Units

Press the UNIT button to cycle through units: g (grams), oz (ounces), ml (millilitres), and fl.oz (fluid ounces). The ml and fl.oz measures are suitable for water-based liquids like wine, stock, or milk.

Add & Weigh Function

To weigh multiple ingredients in the same bowl, press the ON/ZERO/OFF button to reset the display to zero between adding each ingredient.

Automatic Switch Off

The scale will automatically switch off if the display shows '0' for 3 minutes or if it shows the same weight reading for 3 minutes.

Manual Switch Off

To maximize battery life, press and hold the ON/ZERO/OFF button for two seconds after use to turn the scale off.

Warning Indicators

• Replace Battery: The battery needs to be replaced.
• Weight Overload: The scale is overloaded (indicated by 'EEEE'). Remove excess weight immediately.

Cleaning and Care

Clean the scale with a damp cloth only. Do not immerse the scale in water or use chemical or abrasive cleaners.
