About the MAXTRA PRO Water Filter
The BRITA MAXTRA PRO filter, featuring the unique BRITA MicroFlow Technology, effectively reduces impurities in tap water. Its super-fine mesh captures coarse particles, while the high-performance filter layer reduces fine particles (down to 30 µm). The ion-exchange pearls soften water and protect appliances from limescale, while natural micro-carbon pearls reduce substances like chlorine that affect taste and odor.
The MAXTRA PRO filter has a maximum lifespan of 150 liters or 4 weeks.
Optimal Filtration Performance
- Always use cold tap water.
- Use tap water from municipal water treatment plants, as it complies with drinking water regulations.
- Store filtered water in a cool place and consume within 24 hours.
- If boiling tap water is recommended, filter it first, then boil.
- Clean the pitcher regularly and replace the filter as needed.
- For specific groups (infants, immunocompromised individuals), consult a doctor regarding boiling tap water.
Quality and Hygiene
BRITA's commitment to quality is ensured through rigorous internal and external checks. MAXTRA PRO filters are hygienically steam-treated and individually packaged. The filter material undergoes a special silver treatment, releasing small amounts of silver into the water, which is in line with WHO recommendations.
Regular filter replacement is recommended. Follow the provided cleaning and preparation instructions. Clean the pitcher regularly.
Important Information
- Keep the filter pitcher and filter away from direct sunlight and heat sources.

- The BRITA Smart Light and BRITA Memo have batteries with an approximate 5-year lifespan. Dispose of them according to local regulations.
