BRITA MAXTRA+ Preparation and Electronic Indicator Reset
MAXTRA+ Cartridge Preparation
In order for the cartridge to perform effectively, all contents need to be fully hydrated with water and any air bubbles need to be released. In order to do this, please follow the below steps.
Wash the jug thoroughly, taking care not to get water on the electronic indicator.

Half fill your kitchen sink or a deep bowl with cold water and no detergent.

Shake cartridge vigorously under water for 20 seconds.

Remove cartridge from water and firmly insert into jug funnel.

Fill the funnel with cold tap water and allow to filter through, discard the filtered water.

Repeat step 5.
Reset electronic indicator on top of jug – please see next page for indicator types.

Your water is now ready to enjoy.

If the issue continues, please try using the end of a spoon whilst the cartridge is in the funnel of the jug, to continuously push down on the inside mesh that sits beyond the white finger holes.

Resetting Your Electronic Indicator
The indicator will need to be reset with each cartridge change to advise when your cartridge needs changing.
Indicator Types and Reset Procedures:
Memo Indicator
Hold down the start button until all 4 bars flash twice.

Meter Indicator
Hold down the start button until all 4 bars flash twice.

LED Smart Meter
Hold down light button on top of jug for 5-10 seconds until light pulses green three times.
The light will only pulse 3 times after water has been poured to show cartridge status.
