Sylvox Soundbar: General Operation and Features

7. General Operation

7.1 Standby/ON

When the Soundbar is first connected to the mains socket, it will be in Standby mode. Press the power button on the remote control to switch the Soundbar ON. Press the power button again to return the Soundbar to STANDBY mode. To switch the Soundbar OFF completely, disconnect the mains plug from the socket.

7.2 Automatic Power Off Function

The Soundbar automatically enters Standby mode after approximately 15 minutes of inactivity (no TV or external unit connection, no signal input, or volume too close to mute). To ensure complete power-off, remove the mains plug. It is recommended to turn off the Soundbar completely to save energy when not in use.

7.3 Select Modes

Press the input button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes: Aux, Bluetooth, OPTICAL, HDMI USB. The current mode will be displayed on the front of the Soundbar.

7.4 Adjust the Volume

Use the + / - (volume) buttons on the remote control to adjust the volume. Press the mute button to silence the audio; press it again or use the volume buttons to resume listening. The status LED indicator will flash quickly while adjusting volume and flash slowly three times when the maximum or minimum volume level is reached.

7.5 Select Equalizer (EQ) Effect

While playing audio, press the TREBLE, EQ, and TREBLE+ buttons on the remote control to select preset Equalizer effects.

8. OPTICAL / AUX / HDMI ARC Operation

Ensure the Soundbar is connected to your TV or audio device. Press the input button repeatedly to select OPTICAL, AUX, or HDMI ARC mode. The indicator light on the front of the Soundbar will show the currently active mode. For playback features, operate your audio device directly. Use the VOL -- / buttons to adjust the volume. If the Soundbar mutes, it may be unable to decode the digital audio format from the source. Ensure the audio setting on your input source device (TV, game console, DVD player, etc.) is set to PCM for HDMI / OPTICAL / AUX inputs. Refer to your input source device's user manual for specific audio setting details.

9. Bluetooth Operation

To listen to music via Bluetooth:

First time pairing:

  1. Press the power button on the remote to select Bluetooth mode. The blue indicator will flash slowly.
  2. Activate Bluetooth on your device and initiate a search.
  3. Select "Elf R2" and enter "0000" if prompted for a password. A successful connection will be indicated by a solid blue light and an audio prompt.

Pairing a new device after first time pairing:

  1. In Bluetooth mode, press and hold the INPUT button to disconnect from the current device and enter pairing mode. You will hear an audio prompt, and the indicator will flash rapidly.
