Safety Instructions

Read all instructions carefully before use and keep this manual for future reference.

• This appliance is designed for domestic use only.
• Not intended for use by children under 8 years old. Children aged 8 and above can use the appliance under continuous supervision.
• Persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, can use the appliance if supervised or instructed on safe usage and hazards.
• Keep the appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under 8. Cleaning and maintenance should not be done by unsupervised children.
• Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
• This appliance is not designed to be operated by external timers or remote controls.
• Caution: Hot Surface: Accessible surfaces may reach high temperatures during operation. Be careful not to burn yourself.
• Bread can burn; do not use near or under combustible materials like curtains.
• Regularly inspect the power cable for damage. If damaged, it must be replaced by Cecotec Technical Support.
• Place the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant surface, away from heat sources, high humidity, or flammable materials.
• Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any part of the appliance in water or other liquids. Ensure hands are dry before touching the plug or switching on.
• Ensure mains voltage matches the appliance's rating and the plug is earthed.
• Do not use if the cable, plug, or frame is damaged or malfunctioning.
• Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable. Protect it from sharp edges and heat sources. Do not let the cable touch hot surfaces or hang over edges.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while in operation.
• Unplug the appliance when not in use, before cleaning, or when leaving the room. Pull the plug, not the cable, to disconnect.
• This appliance is designed solely for toasting unseasoned bread. Do not toast moist foods or bread with butter, jam, glaze, or other condiments, as this may cause fire or smoke.
• Ensure adequate space above and on both sides for air circulation.
• Do not cover the toaster with aluminum foil or similar materials.
• Do not insert objects (utensils, fingers, etc.) into the appliance, as this may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
• If the appliance malfunctions, or if fire or smoke is observed, switch off immediately and unplug it.
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Contact Cecotec Technical Support for advice.
• No liability is accepted for damage resulting from misuse or non-compliance with instructions.

Before Use

• Remove the appliance from its packaging and all packaging materials. Keep original packaging for future transport if needed. Recycle packaging materials appropriately.
• Ensure all parts and components are included and in good condition. Contact Cecotec Technical Support immediately if anything is missing or damaged.

Operation

• Ensure the lever is in the raised position before use.
• Never force food into the bread slots; food should fit loosely.
• Do not place buttered bread in the toaster, as this may create a fire hazard.
• Toasting Control: Regulates the degree of toasting. Choose one of 7 levels using the selector. Adjust before toasting. Dry/thin slices toast faster (lower setting); moist/thick slices toast slower (higher setting).
• Cancel Function: Interrupts toasting at any time by pressing the Cancel button. The lever will automatically lift the bread.
• Reheat Function: Reheats toast without over-toasting. Activated by pressing the reheat button. If selected within the first 30 seconds of toasting, it cancels the cycle. If the cycle has run for 30+ seconds, it cancels after 5 seconds.
• Defrost Function: Allows toasting frozen bread by extending the toasting time. Activated by pressing the Defrost button.

Cleaning and Maintenance

• Never use aggressive, abrasive, or caustic cleaning agents. Wipe the exterior with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Apply cleaner to the cloth, not the appliance.
• Remove crumbs by sliding out the crumb tray from the bottom. Clean and replace the tray. Ensure the toaster has cooled down and is unplugged before removing crumbs. Never use the toaster without the crumb tray in place.

Troubleshooting

• If toast gets stuck, never use a knife or utensil to remove it, as this can damage the toaster and cause a safety hazard.
• Unplug the toaster.
• Allow it to cool down completely.
• Turn the toaster upside down and shake gently.
