Toasting Bread:

  • For slightly dry bread, use a lower setting than normal.
  • For fresh or whole-wheat bread, use a higher setting.
  • Bread with uneven surfaces (e.g., muffins) requires a higher setting.
  • Thick slices (including bagels, baguettes, muffins) take longer to toast due to moisture evaporation. Very thick slices may require two toasting cycles.
  • If toasting bread with raisins or fruit, remove loose fruit from the bread surface to prevent it from falling into the toaster.
  • Before toasting bagels or baguettes, slice each in half.

Toasting a Single Slice:

  • Choose a lower temperature than usual. The toaster is designed for two slices; lowering the temperature prevents over-toasting until you are familiar with the device.

Frozen Waffles, Pancakes, Baguettes, French Toast, and Frozen Bagels:

  • Cook using the Defrost button.

Pastries:

  • Be cautious when toasting pastries; the filling heats up much faster than the exterior. Do not leave pastries unattended.

Starting and Stopping the Toasting Cycle:

  • To start: Press the lever down until it locks. The toast will automatically pop up when finished.
  • To stop early: Press the Cancel button.

Note:

  • Do not force bread into the slots.
  • Do not insert glazed or stuffed pastries or buttered bread, as this may cause a fire.
  • Uneven toasting is usually due to the bread's uneven surface.
  • Unplug the device when finished using it.

Defrost Button:

  • Use this function to defrost bread and then lightly toast it.
  • Insert bread slice(s). Ensure slices do not overlap and the lever is up.
  • Adjust toasting level with the selector.
  • To start: Press the lever down until it locks. Press the Defrost button (LED will illuminate). The lever will rise with the bread upon completion. To stop early, press Cancel. Always unplug after use.

Reheat Button:

  • Use this function to reheat bread without toasting.
  • Insert bread slice(s). Ensure slices do not overlap and the lever is up.
  • To start: Press the lever down until it locks. Press the Reheat button (LED will illuminate). The lever will rise with the bread upon completion. To stop early, press Cancel. Always unplug after use.

Pastry Holder:

  • To reheat pastries, place the holder on the toaster using the side clamps. Ensure clamp ends are slightly inserted into the toaster slots. Place food on the holder.
  • To start reheating: Press the lever down until it locks. Press the Reheat button (LED will illuminate). The lever will rise upon completion. To stop early, press Cancel. Always unplug after use.
