Introduction
This document provides instructions and safety guidelines for the Cecotec NICESLICE INOX flatbed toaster, covering its operation, cleaning, maintenance, technical specifications, and important safety warnings.

Before Use
Proper preparation is essential before using the toaster:
- Carefully unpack the appliance and remove all packaging materials. Keep the original box and packaging for future transport, and ensure all materials are recycled.
- Verify that all parts and components are included and in good condition. Contact Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately if any items are missing or damaged.
- Remove any stickers and wipe the exterior of the toaster with a damp cloth.
- Ensure the toasting area is free of packaging materials or other objects.
- Place the flatbed toaster on a flat, stable, dry, and heat-resistant surface. Avoid placing it near heat sources, in areas with high humidity, or near flammable materials.

Operation
This appliance is designed for toasting and heating bread only. Do not use it for cooking other food.
- Ensure the crumb tray is correctly installed. Never use the toaster without it.
- For first-time use, switch the toaster on for a few minutes without bread. Some smoke is normal initially.
- Plug the appliance into the mains supply.
- Place slices of bread on the rack.
Notes for Toasting:
- Do not spread bread slices with oil or butter before toasting.
- Do not completely cover the toasting rack with bread; leave approximately 1 cm of space between slices.
- Select the toasting time by turning the power control knob (maximum time: 170 seconds). The toasting time depends on the type of bread (frozen, dry, or fresh) and its thickness.
- Press the power button; the indicator light will illuminate.
- Manually turn the bread slice when it is toasted on one side.
The toasting process will end automatically when the set time is reached. You can stop it earlier by pressing the power button. The indicator light will go out, and the toaster will switch off automatically.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Clean the toaster after every use, and before storing it for a long period without use.
- Before cleaning, ensure the toaster is unplugged from the mains and completely cold.
- Clean the appliance surface and the toaster rack with a damp cloth.
- Pull out the crumb tray to remove crumbs. Always use the handle to remove it.
- Re-insert the crumb tray correctly, ensuring it is properly positioned.
- Store the toaster in a clean, dry place when not in use. Ensure it is clean, dry, and unplugged before storing.
- It is advisable to store the toaster horizontally in its original box to protect it from dust.
- When storing, wind the power cord around the hooks on the base.
Crumb Tray:
- Regularly remove and clean the crumb tray to prevent fires.
- The crumb tray is located under the heating elements and can be removed from the side opposite the control panel.
- Pull out the crumb tray completely, discard crumbs, and wipe it clean with a cloth.
- For stubborn stains, use a soft scourer and soapy water.
- Ensure the tray is completely dry before re-installing.
- Do not wash the crumb tray in a dishwasher.

Important Safety Warnings
General Safety:
- Read all instructions before use.
- Not for children under 8. Children 8+ require supervision.
- Individuals with reduced capabilities require supervision and instruction.
- Keep appliance and cable away from children under 8. Cleaning/maintenance by children requires supervision.
- Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance.
Hot Surfaces:
- CAUTION: Surfaces become hot. Use mitts and allow parts to cool before cleaning.
Electrical Safety:
- Do not immerse in water. Keep hands dry when handling plug.
Usage Restrictions:
- Not for external timers/remote controls.
- Household use only. Not for commercial/industrial or outdoor use.
- Check cable for damage; replace if necessary by Cecotec Service.
- Ensure mains voltage matches appliance rating and outlet is earthed.
- Do not use if damaged, malfunctioning, or dropped.
- Protect cable from sharp edges/heat. Keep away from hot surfaces and edges.
- Do not leave unattended.
- Unplug when not in use or before cleaning. Pull plug, not cable.
- Only for unseasoned bread. Do not toast moist food or bread with spreads (fire/smoke risk).
- Use only recommended accessories.
- Ensure adequate ventilation space.
Circumstances to Avoid:
- Do not use near heat sources, on soft surfaces, outdoors, or near flammables.
- Do not cover with aluminum foil.
- Do not insert objects (utensils, fingers, etc.) into the appliance.
- If malfunction, fire, or smoke occurs, switch off, unplug, and contact Cecotec Service. Do not self-repair.
- Exercise caution when removing hot toast.
- Never fill rack completely; leave 1 cm space between slices.
- Cecotec is not liable for damages from misuse or non-compliance.
Warranty and Technical Support
