Grounding Instructions
This product must be grounded. If it malfunctions or breaks down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce the risk of electric shock. The product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
DANGER: Improper connection of the equipment-grounding conductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if you are in doubt about grounding. Do not modify the plug; if it does not fit the outlet, have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
This product is for use on a normal 120-volt circuit. A temporary adapter (like those shown in sketches B and C) may be used to connect to a 2-pole receptacle if a properly grounded outlet (sketch A) is not available, but only until a qualified electrician can install one. The green-colored tab or similar extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground, such as a properly grounded outlet box cover, and secured with a metal screw. The use of temporary adapters is not permitted in Canada.
Grounding Methods:
- Method A: Shows a standard grounded outlet with a grounding pin.
- Method B: Shows an adapter connected to a 2-pole receptacle, with the adapter's grounding tab connected to the outlet box cover.
- Method C: Illustrates the adapter with its grounding tab and metal screw.
Get Ready
Unpack the Box
The Human Touch massage chair requires simple, tool-free assembly. Ensure you have the following components:
- Chair
- Floor mat
- Head Pillow
1. Power On the Chair
Plug the chair into an appropriate power source. Use the power switch located on the rear of the chair base to turn it on. Use the remote control's incline button to raise the backrest to an upright position.
2. Attach the Head Pillow
Attach the top head pillow flap to the top of the backrest using the hook-and-loop fasteners.
3. Place the Floor Mat
Your chair includes a floor mat to protect your flooring. Place the floor mat underneath the front feet of the chair.
Adjusting the Shoulder Massage Panels
Deploying: The shoulder massage panels are stowed along the sides of the chair. To deploy, pull outward on the massage arm and slide it forward until it clicks. For a narrower width or more intense massage, push the arm toward the backrest until it clicks into the second width position. Repeat for the other arm, ensuring both are set to the same width for a balanced massage.
Stowing: Push the massage panel toward the backrest to release it, then slide it backward to the stowed position along the side of the chair.
Adjusting the Hip Massage Panels
Deploying: The hip massage panels are stowed inside the chair armrests. To deploy, push outward on the massage panel until it clicks into place. For a narrower width or more intense massage, push the panel further to a narrower setting. Repeat for the other panel, ensuring both are set to the same width for a balanced massage.
Stowing: Push the massage panel toward the center of the chair to release it, then slide it backward to the stowed position along the armrest.
Take a Seat
Using your Human Touch massage chair is easy. Adjust the backrest and deploy the foot and calf massager. The chair offers a wide variety of massage techniques to help you feel better from head to toe, allowing you to control your experience for relaxation and refreshment.
Adjust the Backrest
Use the remote control's backrest button to adjust the backrest angle for maximum comfort.
For a Foot and Calf Massage
- Deploy the foot and calf massager: Use the remote control's footrest button to deploy the footrest and calf massager.
- Insert your feet and calves: Place your feet fully into the foot and calf massager wells, ensuring the bottom of your feet and the back of your calves touch the well walls.
- Adjust the foot and calf massager: While seated, use the remote control's footrest button to raise the massager to a comfortable position. Do not stand or sit on the massager.
- (Optional) Accommodate longer legs: Pull up on the footrest extension lever and hold it. Push gently outward with your feet to extend the massager, then release the lever.
Note: To exit the chair, use the remote control to fully retract the footrest. If extended, it automatically returns to its default position and locks.
Note on Power Failure: In case of a power failure, open the panel in the center of the foot and calf massager. Turn the release knob counter-clockwise to manually move the massage paddles until you can comfortably remove your feet.
For an easier exit, stow the foot and calf massager and recline the chair to a full upright position before getting out. Ensure the area behind/under the footrest is clear before stowing.
For an Arm Massage
The arm massage feature uses slow-air cuffs to massage your arms. It can be used independently or with other massage features.
- Slide your arms into the arm massage cuffs.
- Press the Arm button on the on-board control panel (located on the left armrest) to start the arm massage. The cuffs inflate and deflate.
Note: Pressing the Arm button activates massage on both sides, regardless of whether your arms are in the cuffs. You can also use the remote control to start and stop the arm massage.
To stop the arm massage: Press the on-board control panel Arm button.

Care and Maintenance
Follow these simple guidelines to keep your product working and looking its best.
Cleaning
- Disconnect the power cord before cleaning.
- Do not use benzene, thinner, or other solvents.
- Remove dust from the backrest or armrests with a vacuum cleaner.
- If soiled, wipe the backrest or armrests with a damp cloth, then a dry cloth.
- Use common upholstery cleaners for tough stains.

Fabric Care
To maintain your Human Touch product in optimum condition, dust or vacuum it frequently with a soft brush attachment. SofSuede products can also be brushed with a suede brush. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth as needed. For tougher stains on non-leather products, use a mild detergent mixed with water. Leather products should be wiped occasionally with a leather furniture cleaning solution.

Maintenance and Repair
- The mechanics are designed to be maintenance-free; no periodic lubrication or servicing is required.
- Your chair should only be serviced by an authorized service center.
Storage
- For long periods of non-use, cover the chair, coil the power cord, and store in a dust- and moisture-free environment.
- Do not store near heat or open flame. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, which may cause fading or damage.
Miscellaneous
- Do not insert foreign objects between massage nodes or unit housing.
- Take care not to overload the unit.
