Welcome to Human Touch! Your massage chair is designed to provide a balanced life through advanced technology and ancient massage arts. When using this electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed. Always unplug the product after use and before cleaning. Never operate under a blanket or pillow. Close supervision is necessary when used by or near children or disabled persons. Use only as intended and with manufacturer-recommended attachments. Do not operate if the cord or plug is damaged, or if the product is not working properly. Keep the power cord away from heated surfaces. Ensure air openings are free of lint and hair. Do not insert objects into any openings. Do not use outdoors or where aerosol products are used or oxygen is administered. To disconnect, turn all controls to OFF and remove the plug. Do not massage swollen, inflamed, or erupted areas of the body. Do not use on unexplained calf pain. Do not use on damp floors or when in contact with plumbing. Connect only to a properly grounded outlet. Do not use if abnormal noise is heard. Do not stand on or in the appliance; use only while seated. This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities unless supervised. Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Safety Precautions: Wear comfortable clothing. Use in a relaxed position; never force body parts into the backrest area while rollers are moving. If you feel abnormal discomfort, turn off the power immediately and consult a physician. Do not sit on the controller. Do not pull the AC cord. Check for proper operation after storage. Ensure no obstacles are behind the product and there is sufficient space to recline. Grounding Instructions: This product must be grounded. If it malfunctions, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electrical current to reduce shock risk. The product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. Plug into an appropriate, properly installed, and grounded outlet. WARNING: Improper connection of the grounding conductor can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure. Do not modify the plug; have a proper outlet installed if needed. The green-colored tab on adapters must be connected to a permanent ground, such as a grounded outlet box cover, and secured with a metal screw. Temporary adapters are not permitted in Canada. Diagrams illustrate grounding methods: (A) A grounded outlet with three prongs. (B) An adapter connecting a two-prong plug to a three-prong outlet, showing the grounding tab. (C) A close-up of the adapter's grounding tab for connection to a permanent ground. Your Human Touch massage chair requires simple assembly with no tools. Attach the backrest pad, seat pad, and head pillow. Unpack the box: Identify the Chair, Seat Pad, Backrest Pad, and Head Pillow. 1. Unfold the chair: Remove all packaging. Pull up on the backrest to unfold the chair to an upright position; it locks automatically. 2. Attach the backrest pad: Secure the top flap to the top of the backrest. Smooth the bottom flaps under the backrest. Attach side flaps to the sides of the backrest using hook-and-loop fasteners. 3. Power on: Plug the power cord into a grounded 120-volt power source. Turn the master power switch (located on the bottom center of the chair back) to ON. 4. Attach the seat pad: Use the remote's 'legs up' setting to raise the footrest horizontally. Attach the seat pad to the back of the seat using hook-and-loop fasteners. Wrap the front flap around the chair frame and attach it to the top of the frame. 5. Attach the head pillow: Flip the flap on the back of the headrest up and over the chair top. Attach the head pillow to the flap using hook-and-loop fasteners. Adjust height for comfort. Adjust the backrest and foot/calf massager to your desired position for relaxation and refreshment. 1. Adjust the footrest height: While seated, use the remote's 'legs up' and 'legs down' settings to raise the footrest to a comfortable height. 2. Adjust the backrest: Use the remote's 'recline' and 'incline' settings to adjust the backrest angle for maximum comfort. Illustrations show remote control buttons for adjusting footrest height and backrest angle. A note indicates a slight pause during gear shifting is normal. For a Calf or Foot Massage: 1. Deploy the foot and calf massager: Pull the release handle on the footrest. For calf massage, rotate the footrest away from the chair until it clicks, with the massager facing up. Do not force past the click. For foot massage, rotate until the massager faces up, but do not let it click; the footrest should move freely. 2. Insert your calves or feet: Place your calves or feet into the deployed massager. Illustrations show the process of deploying the foot and calf massager and inserting feet/calves. An instruction advises retracting the footrest and returning the backrest to upright before exiting, and clearing the area behind/under the footrest. To collapse the chair for moving, press the backrest release lever and push the backrest down onto the seat. Customize your massage with a variety of modes and techniques. Use the remote to select massage programs, adjust intensity, and target specific areas. Remote Control Functions: An illustration details the Human Touch remote control, labeling each button and indicator. A pocket on the side of the chair is shown for storing the remote. Massage Techniques: Small illustrations accompany each massage technique, depicting hand movements. Use the massage-softening pad to soften intensity. Remove it for a stronger massage. To adjust intensity: Replacement pads are available from Human Touch. Illustrations show the steps for inserting or removing the massage-softening pad via the backrest pad zipper. Follow these guidelines to keep your product working well and looking its best. Cleaning: Fabric Care: Dust or vacuum frequently with a soft brush. Faux suede can be brushed with a suede brush. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth. Use mild detergent and water for tough stains on non-leather. Use leather cleaning solution for leather products. Do not store near heat or open flame, or expose to direct sunlight for long periods. Miscellaneous: Do not insert foreign objects into massage nodes or housing. Avoid overloading the unit.
