What is Covered Under This Limited Warranty?
This limited warranty applies to domestic use only and covers defects in material and workmanship in the specified furniture and fixtures. IKEA products are tested well beyond all relevant international standards, using top brand components to secure the warranty promise.
The warranty is to the benefit of the original purchaser of the product. It is not transferable, with the exception of residents of the province of Saskatchewan.
What is Not Covered Under This Limited Warranty?
This limited warranty does not apply to products that have been:
- Stored, assembled, or installed incorrectly
- Used inappropriately, abused, misused, altered
- Cleaned with wrong cleaning methods or products
It also does not cover:
- Normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impacts or accidents
- Products used for public use, outdoors, or in a corrosive environment
- Incidental or consequential damages
- The included aerator (an expendable item)
Installation
Furniture from the ENHET, HAVBÄCK, ÄNGSJÖN, TÄNNFORSEN, HAGAÅN, FAXÄLVEN, and LETTAN series must be fixed to the wall. Ensure that the walls can support the weight of the furniture, as wrong installation may cause injury or damage.
If uncertain about installation, contact a professional. As wall materials vary, screws for fixing to the wall are not included. For advice on suitable screw systems, contact your local specialized dealer. Follow assembly, installation, and care instructions carefully.
Bathroom sink cabinets must also be fixed to the wall. Ensure walls can support the weight of the sink and furniture.
Certification
Certain countries have statutory requirements for the certification of bathroom faucets and shower heads. IKEA faucets have been approved by the Canadian Standards Association for their intended use. Shower heads and hand showers have been tested and are in compliance with EPA's WaterSense Specification for Showerheads (Version 1.0, 03-04-2010 edition).
What Will IKEA Do to Correct the Problem?
IKEA will examine the product and decide, at its sole discretion, if it is covered under this warranty. If covered, IKEA will, through its service operations, either repair the defective product or replace it with the same or a comparable product. IKEA will pay for repairs, spare parts, labor, and travel for repair staff, provided the product is accessible for repair without special expenditure and the work is authorized by IKEA. Replaced parts become the property of IKEA.
If the item is no longer sold by IKEA, IKEA will provide an appropriate replacement, determined at IKEA's sole discretion.
How Country and Provincial Law Applies
This limited warranty is to the benefit of the original purchaser. All limited warranties on products sold within Canada are not transferable beyond the original purchaser, except for residents of Saskatchewan.
This limited warranty grants specific legal rights. It does not affect rights granted by law. Other rights under applicable provincial law may also apply. IKEA is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages. Some provinces may not allow exclusions or limitations on incidental or consequential damages or limited warranties, so these may not apply to you.
