Application

The BEGA 50574 is a ceiling and wall luminaire designed for indoor use. It features hand-blown opal glass with a satin matt finish and a metal fitter, making it suitable for all lighting tasks in interior applications where a soft and uniform lighting distribution is required.

Product Description

The luminaire is constructed from aluminium alloy with a white finish. It features hand-blown opal glass with a satin matt finish and a screw neck. There are two mounting holes with a diameter of 5.4 mm, spaced 93 mm apart.

The luminaire is suitable for through-wiring with mains cables up to 10.5 mm diameter, maximum 3 x 1.5 mm². It includes connecting terminals and an earth conductor terminal (2.50). The lampholder is E 27. It has a safety class of I and impact strength of IK05 (protection against mechanical impacts < 0.7 joules).

Safety mark and CE conformity mark are present. Weight: 1.8 kg.

Safety and Installation

Safety

Installation and operation must comply with national safety regulations. Installation and commissioning should only be performed by a qualified electrician. BEGA is not liable for damage caused by improper use or installation. Modifications made by others will render them the manufacturer.

Important Note

If mounting on a metallic, electrically conductive surface, ensure the mounting surface is conductively connected to the luminaire's earth conductor.

Installation Steps

Dismantle the mains supply cable.
Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing by turning counter-clockwise.
Push silicone sleeves over the lines.
Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
Fasten the luminaire housing to the mounting surface using the supplied or other suitable fastening material.
Insert the lamp into the lampholder.
Fix the glass to the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise.

Relamping and Maintenance

Disconnect the electrical installation.
Unscrew the glass from the luminaire housing.
Clean the luminaire and glass using only solvent-free cleansers.
Change the lamp.
Screw the glass back into the luminaire housing.

Accessory: Trim Rings

Metal trim rings are optionally available for this luminaire in three different finishes: Stainless steel (Part No. 13183), Polished aluminium (Part No. 13184), and Brass (Part No. 13185). These are accessories and must be ordered separately.
