Diagram description: The luminaire has a spherical glass shade with a diameter of approximately 350mm. The suspension cable is approximately 2000mm long. The ceiling canopy is approximately 80mm in diameter. A detail shows a 5mm protrusion for the glass.

Safety and Installation

Safety

National safety regulations must be observed for the installation and operation of this luminaire.

Installation and commissioning may only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

The manufacturer accepts no liability for damage caused by improper use or installation. If subsequent modifications are made to the luminaire, the person responsible for these modifications shall be considered the manufacturer.

Installation

1. Suspend the luminaire from the ceiling hook.
2. Make earth connection and electrical connection to the terminals.
3. Insert lamp into lampholder.
4. Unscrew and lift the glass cover.
5. Place the glass onto the glass support and adjust it accordingly.
6. Screw the glass cover back onto the glass.
7. Press the canopy firmly against the ceiling.
8. The clamping effect for different cable diameters can be adjusted by the knurled nut at the lower part of the canopy.

Shortening of Flex Suspension

The flex suspension can only be shortened at the canopy end.

1. Remove terminals from the cable.
2. Loosen the fixing screw at the hanger, pull out the steel wire, and loosen screws from the cable collar.
3. Shorten the cable to the desired length and strip the end approximately 10 cm. Consider this extra length when determining the final length.
4. Place the cable back into the cable collar and tighten both screws. Ensure approximately 5mm of the cable coating protrudes from the collar.
5. Lead the steel wire through the small hole in the hanger and back through the fixing terminal. Pull the steel wire tight and fix it with the screw.
6. Connect the cable wires to the terminals, ensuring the steel wire is connected to the earth terminal.

Relamping and Maintenance

1. Disconnect the electrical installation before proceeding.
2. To clean the luminaire or change the lamp, unscrew and lift the glass cover.
3. Take off the glass.
4. Clean the glass and luminaire. Use only solvent-free cleaning agents.
5. Change the lamp.
