Suspected defective batteries showing signs of damage (impact, distortion, blistering, loose parts, leakage) must be considered defective and handled accordingly. Batteries found operational after a single recharge cycle under observation are considered good. If a battery fails to recharge correctly, it is defective and no further recharge attempts should be made. Defective discharged batteries should be stored in a locked battery waste container away from buildings. Dispose of batteries safely according to local regulations.
