Watch Caliber Number
Locate the 4-digit caliber number on the case back of your watch. As shown in the diagram, the caliber number is a 4-digit number to the left of the hyphen.
[Diagram: Illustration showing the back of a watch case with a label pointing to the caliber number, e.g., 'V145-0A00 AQ', highlighting 'V145' as the caliber number.]
How to Charge and Start the Watch
If the watch has stopped or the power is low, charge it sufficiently by exposing it to light.
Quick Start Function
When exposed to sunlight or strong artificial light (over 1000 lux), the watch starts immediately, with the second hand moving in 2-second intervals.
[Diagram: Illustration of a watch face with arrows indicating light sources (sun, lamp) pointing towards it. Another diagram shows the second hand moving in 2-second intervals, then in 1-second intervals, and finally a hand turning the crown.]
- Place the watch under sunlight or strong artificial light.
- Keep the watch in light until the second hand moves in 1-second intervals.
- Once the watch has started after a full stop, set the date and time before wearing.
Refer to "Charging/Accuracy Guide".
Notes
- If the watch has a second hand, the quick start function causes it to move in 2-second intervals initially due to insufficient stored energy in the rechargeable battery. The watch may stop if removed from light.
- It is not necessary to charge the watch completely. However, it is important to charge the watch well, especially for the initial charge.
Charging Precautions
- Do not place the watch too close to light sources like flashes, spotlights, or incandescent lamps, as this can cause excessive temperature rise and damage internal parts.
- When charging in sunlight, do not leave the watch on a car dashboard or similar locations, as this can cause excessive temperature rise.
- When charging the watch, ensure its temperature does not exceed 50°C (for calibers V110, V145, V181, V182).
- When charging the watch, ensure its temperature does not exceed 60°C (for calibers V111, V114, V115, V116, V117, V137, V147, V157, V158, V187).

Notes on Charging and Accuracy
- Do not set the date between 9:00 PM and 1:00 AM, as it may change incorrectly. If setting is necessary during this interval, set any time outside this range, set the date, and then reset the correct time.
- When setting the hour hand, ensure AM/PM is correctly set. The date changes once every 24 hours. Turn the hands past the 12 o'clock mark to determine AM/PM. If the date changes, it is AM. If it does not change, it is PM.
- When setting the minute hand, set it 4-5 minutes past the desired time and then return it to the exact time.
- Adjust the date at the end of February and for 30-day months.
Power Source Information
This watch uses a rechargeable battery, different from conventional silver-oxide batteries. Unlike disposable batteries, this rechargeable battery can be used repeatedly through charge/discharge cycles.
The efficiency of the rechargeable battery may gradually degrade due to long-term use or operating conditions. Contaminated mechanical parts or degraded lubricants can also shorten charge cycles. If battery efficiency decreases, the watch requires servicing.
Warning
Do not attempt to replace the rechargeable battery yourself. Battery replacement requires professional knowledge and skills. Please consult a watch retailer for battery replacement.
Installing a conventional silver-oxide battery may cause overheating, leading to fire or ignition.
Warnings and Precautions
Power Depletion Warning Function
- If the watch has a second hand, when the energy in the rechargeable battery drops to a critically low level, the second hand will move in 2-second intervals instead of the normal 1-second interval (this function is not available on some calibers). The watch continues to display the correct time even when the second hand moves in 2-second intervals.
- In such cases, charge the watch as soon as possible by exposing it to light. Otherwise, the watch may stop after approximately 3 days. (Refer to "How to Charge and Start the Watch" for charging instructions).
To Prevent Power Depletion
- When wearing the watch, ensure it is not covered by clothing.
- When the watch is not in use, place it in a brightly lit area for as long as possible.
How to Operate Screw-Lock Crown (For Models with Screw-Lock Crown)
To Unscrew the Crown:
Turn the crown counter-clockwise (then pull out the crown to set time/calendar).
To Screw the Crown:
With the crown in its normal position, turn it clockwise while pushing it in.
Rotating Bezel (For Models with Rotating Bezel)
The rotating bezel can indicate up to 60 minutes of elapsed time.
- Turn the rotating bezel to align the marker (▶️) with the minute hand.
- Read the time elapsed on the rotating bezel indicated by the minute hand.
[Diagram: Illustration of a watch face with a rotating bezel. The bezel has markings from 0 to 60. The minute hand is pointing to a specific mark on the bezel, indicating elapsed time. An arrow shows the bezel rotating.]
Note: On some models, the rotating bezel only rotates counter-clockwise.
