5. Getting Started
Charging the Headset
- Connect the headset to a USB power source using the provided USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
- The LED indicator will show the charging status:

Powering the Headset On/Off
Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the headset on or off. The LED indicator will turn solid green when powered on and off when powered off.
Connecting to Your Device
Wired Mode
Connect the headset to your device using the USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
2.4 GHz Mode
Plug the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle into a USB port on your device. The headset will automatically connect.

PC Configuration for 2.4 GHz Mode
Open Sound settings on your PC. Select 'Razer Kraken V4 - Game' as your output device and 'Razer Kraken V4 - Chat' as your input device.
Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download it from razer.com/synapse.
Adjusting Game/Chat Balance
Press and hold the Game/Chat Balance button for 3 seconds. Turn the volume dial to adjust the balance between game and chat audio.
- Turn volume up for game, down for chat.
- Turn volume down for game, up for chat.
Bluetooth Mode
Press and hold the SmartSwitch button twice (x2) to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will pulse blue. Connect to your device via Bluetooth settings.

Resynchronizing the Headset
If the headset loses its connection, press and hold the SmartSwitch button for 7 seconds to resynchronize.

Razer HyperClear Wide-Band Microphone
Deploying the Microphone
Gently pull the microphone from its slot and position it as needed.
Proper Microphone Placement
Ensure the microphone diaphragm is facing your mouth and the vent is away from it. Avoid placing the microphone too close or too far from your mouth.
Muting/Unmuting the Microphone
Press the microphone mute button. The indicator will turn solid red when muted and off when unmuted.
Using Volume Controls
Use the volume dial to adjust the headset volume.

Razer Synapse is your central hub for customizing your Razer devices. The Synapse tab is the default view upon launching the application.

Safety Precautions
