5. Getting Started

Charging the Headset

1. Connect the headset to a USB power source using the provided USB Type-C to Type-A cable.
2. The LED indicator will show the charging status:

3. Charging takes approximately 4 hours.

For best results, connect your Razer Kraken V4 directly to your computer's USB port using the charging cable.

Powering the Headset On/Off

Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the headset on or off. The LED indicator will turn solid green when powered on and off when powered off.

Connecting to Your Device

Wired Mode

Connect the headset to your device using the USB Type-C to Type-A cable.

2.4 GHz Mode

Plug the Razer HyperSpeed Wireless Dongle into a USB port on your device. The headset will automatically connect.

Connecting: Pulsing Green LED

Connected: Solid Green LED

PC Configuration for 2.4 GHz Mode

Open Sound settings on your PC. Select 'Razer Kraken V4 - Game' as your output device and 'Razer Kraken V4 - Chat' as your input device.

Install Razer Synapse when prompted or download it from razer.com/synapse.

Adjusting Game/Chat Balance

Press and hold the Game/Chat Balance button for 3 seconds. Turn the volume dial to adjust the balance between game and chat audio.

• Turn volume up for game, down for chat.
• Turn volume down for game, up for chat.

Bluetooth Mode

Press and hold the SmartSwitch button twice (x2) to enter Bluetooth pairing mode. The LED indicator will pulse blue. Connect to your device via Bluetooth settings.

Pairing: Pulsing Blue LED

Paired: Solid Blue LED

Resynchronizing the Headset

If the headset loses its connection, press and hold the SmartSwitch button for 7 seconds to resynchronize.

Razer HyperClear Wide-Band Microphone

Deploying the Microphone

Gently pull the microphone from its slot and position it as needed.

Proper Microphone Placement

Ensure the microphone diaphragm is facing your mouth and the vent is away from it. Avoid placing the microphone too close or too far from your mouth.

Muting/Unmuting the Microphone

Press the microphone mute button. The indicator will turn solid red when muted and off when unmuted.

Using Volume Controls

Use the volume dial to adjust the headset volume.

Checking Battery Status

Customizing EQ Settings

Use Razer Synapse to customize EQ settings for Game, Movie, Music, or create custom profiles.

Switching Between Wireless Modes

Use the SmartSwitch button to toggle between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth modes. The headset must be connected to both wireless modes to use the SmartSwitch function.

Adjusting for Comfort

Gently stretch the headbands before wearing the headset to minimize tension. Do not overstretch.

This guide provides a general overview of the Razer Synapse application. Features may vary based on software version and connected devices.

Razer Synapse

Razer Synapse is your central hub for customizing your Razer devices. The Synapse tab is the default view upon launching the application.

Navigation Buttons

• Minimize: Minimizes the application to the system tray.
• Maximize: Expands the application window to full screen.
• Close (X): Closes the application.
• Previous Tab (←): Navigates to the last visited tab.
• Next Tab (→): Navigates to the next tab.
• Refresh (↻): Reloads the current page.

Other Functions

• Download Update: Updates the application if new versions are available.
• More (...): Opens a window to access Devices, Modules, and other installed applications.

• Microphone Volume: Adjust the microphone volume or mute it using the activation button.

8. Safety and Maintenance

Safety Precautions

• Do not disassemble or attempt to operate the device under abnormal circumstances, as this will void the warranty.
