Altivar Soft Starter Fan Kits
This guide provides instructions for installing fan kits for Schneider Electric Altivar Soft Starters, models ATS480 and ATS48.

Fan Kit Installation - VZ3V481
Models: ATS480D32Y, ATS480D38Y, ATS48D32, ATS48D38
- Step 1: Remove the front cover using a Torx T20 screwdriver. Arrows indicate removal direction.
- Step 2: Insert the fan kit into the designated slot. Arrows indicate insertion direction.
- Step 3: Secure the fan kit by pushing it until it clicks into place. A circular inset shows a close-up of the connection. A recycling symbol indicates proper disposal of packaging.
- Step 4: Attach the fan kit, ensuring it is correctly seated. Arrows indicate attachment points. The model number VZ3V481 is shown.
- Step 5: Connect the fan kit wiring. Arrows indicate connection points.
- Step 6: Secure the fan kit with screws. Arrows indicate screw locations. Torque specification: 1.7 N.m (15 in-lb).

Models: ATS480D47Y, ATS480C17Y, ATS48D47, ATS48C17

- Step 2: Install the first fan module. Circular insets show mounting points.
- Step 3: Install the second fan module. Circular insets show mounting points.
- Step 4: Attach the fan modules. Arrows indicate attachment points. Model VZ3V485 is shown.
- Step 5: Install the fan modules. Arrows indicate insertion direction. Model VZ3V485 is shown.
- Step 6: Secure the fan modules with screws. Circular insets show mounting points. Torque specification: 3.5 N.m (31 in-lb).
- Step 7: Connect the fan module wiring. Circular insets show connection points.
- Step 8: Replace the top cover. Arrows indicate placement direction. Torque specification: 3.5 N.m (31 in-lb).
