The ROTHULT smart lock is not covered by this warranty.
Warranty Duration and Coverage
The commercial warranty is valid for ten (10) years from the date of purchase or delivery from IKEA. The original invoice is required to claim the warranty.
The warranty covers defects in material, manufacturing, and function, provided the products are assembled correctly and used as intended.
IKEA Portugal tests its office furniture rigorously for professional use according to stringent standards such as EN15372, ANSI/BIFMA X:5.5, EN527, ANSI/BIFMA x6.5, ANSI/BIFMA 5.5, EN14073, EN14074, ANSI/BIFMA x5.9, ISO-7170, and EN1023-2.
What is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Products that have been stored, assembled, or installed incorrectly.
- Products used intentionally or negligently, damaged, misused, altered, or cleaned with improper methods or products.
- Normal wear and tear, cuts, scratches, or damage caused by impact or accidents.
- Products placed outdoors or in humid environments.
- Accidental or indirect damages.
Warranty Service and Claims
IKEA Portugal will examine the product to determine if the reported defect is covered. The consumer must prove the lack of conformity.
IKEA Portugal reserves the right to repair or replace the product with an alternative of equal or lesser value. If a replacement of a higher value is desired, the customer must pay the difference.
If a product is replaced, the warranty period is not extended or reset. Replacements may be of the same or a similar range, potentially with different aesthetic features.
For repairs, IKEA Portugal will cover the costs of repairs, spare parts, labor, and necessary travel, provided the product is accessible and the repair does not incur additional costs. Unauthorized repairs are not covered.
IKEA Portugal may opt to terminate the contract if repair or replacement is excessively costly.
Assembly and Maintenance Instructions
To benefit from the warranty, specific maintenance instructions for each product must be followed. Assembly and maintenance instructions can be found at www.IKEA.pt.
Some office cabinets and storage units require wall fixation. Ensure appropriate hardware is used based on wall construction. Consult a professional if unsure.
Periodically check and tighten screws, especially two weeks after assembly and twice a year thereafter.
All maintenance and cleaning instructions provided in manuals and on labels must be followed.
